I'm trying to create a homebrew item my DM gave me. It's a shortsword that adds my intelligence modifier as psychic damage. That is the only thing it does, and I've had no luck adding it. I've tried using "Bonus - Magic" but it doesn't seem to add anything. Damage is just changing the type of damage for everything, which is not what I want. Modifier—>Damage is what adds additional damage to the attack, but it can only either add a random amount (XdX) or a fixed value. It currently can not add an amount based on an Ability modifier such as Intelligence. DDB is upgrading their system so that may be possible in future, just not yet.
