I'm building a new character a fighter who is an artisan. I thought to make him a slightly unique greataxe, nothing magical but enstead of an massive axe blade on both sides I want to have a row of spikes on one end. This would do piercing damage but while building it I don't know how to homebrew make it on here to have in my equipment. I can set a mod that adds an additional 1d12 to my dice role but I don't know how to give it an slashing or piercing stat. Any advice would be great.

Hi there Blackrigante,
the best way to approach this isn't to homebrew a weapon.
Use a normal GreatAxe and then on your character sheet create an additional Custom Attack to represent the spikes.
