I'm working on porting over a spell to DDB that has two separate scaling elements in it, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have to spell set to scale level, I have two modifiers (one for ranged spell attack and the other for fire damage d8), and I had the entire casting scale for both implemented.
The spell is supposed to grant a ranged spell attack for 8 hours at level 1. At level 2, it gains +1 to attack rolls. At level 3, an additional damage die. Then another +1 at level 3 and another 1d8 on damage rolls at level 4. And so on, to level 7. Can anyone help me figure this out?
You’re not going to be able to do the bonus to spell attacks with it. The system can’t do temporary effects. Just worry about the damage and change it from “scale level” to “spell scale.”
