Hello all I am trying to make a +2 rapier that also on the item with a bonus action you can make a slashing attack for 1d4 damage as well, can someone help me with a walk through on how this is accomplished? I tried doing a test run of it and it doesn't appear I did it correctly. Thank you.
There isn't currently a way to manage that until the next homebrew development cycle, where hopefully the actions system gets added to magic items.
The best thing to do is just write how this works in the description of the magic sword and then add a custom attack to the character sheet of the character with it.
