Uwa is a world split into twelve nations. Each nation is home to one of the twelve prime races of Uwa. Eight of these twelve races are native to Uwa, while four others have found their way there from some distant realm, and made their homes there.
Eight native races:
Dragons
Elves
Dwarves
Gnomes
Halflings
Humans
Tritons
Tabaxi
The ones who have made Uwa their home, but who are not natives.
Yaun-ti
Orcs
Aarakocra
Giants
However, these four races have lived here for so long that they have become naturalised and recognised by the native races as being part of the world.
These twelve races have interbred with each other, creating various other subraces. These subraces, cluster around their parent race as minows around a bigger fish. They are incapable of creativity and tend to be used as slaves by one or both of their parent races.
Each of the twelve nations, and by extension, the twelve prime races, are watched over by a particular God who belongs to that race, and which each race believes created them in his or her image. Each God appoints a King, who goes on to found a Royal Dynasty, and who rules over the people of that nation in their Gods name. Every so often, for whatever reason, the God of a particular prime race, might decide that the bloodline of their chosen King, is no longer serving their interests and when this happens, that God will give his or her favour to someone whom they believe can form a dynasty that will better serve them.
Such events often lead to civil war, but rarely, if ever, spill over into the other nations. Also, once the battle is won, and one or the other stands victorious, the other Kings will accept whoever was given the favour of that particular races God, as being the new King of that nation and ruler of that race.
The world of Uwa is ruled over by the twelve Gods of the Celestial Bureaucracy and governed in the name of those Gods, by the twelve Kings, who form the Council of Twelve; which is also sometimes just called, The Kings Council. That doesn't mean that each race only believes in one God, or follows one King. Sometimes the people of Uwa will worship more than one God, or swear allegiance to more than one King and follow the practices and laws of both. This kind of thing is more popular amongst the subraces, who will often worship the Gods and swear allegiance to the Kings of both their parent races, but all the people of Uwa fear the power of the twelve Gods and the wrath of the twelve Kings. So; even members of the prime races might worship or serve multiple Gods and Kings, especially if they live on the borders between nations.
It is better to be safe than sorry.
Uwa is also full of many creatures, beasts, monstrosities and aberrations of all stripes; as well as various types of fiends. They ruled over Uwa for aeons, before the arrival of the twelve Gods, but are now kept in check by the Celestial Bureaucracy, who grant certain people power beyond other mortals, and second only to that of the King. These people join guilds and adventure across the world, becoming hunters and huntresses. What they hunt, depends upon their desires, some hunt monsters, some hunt lost treasure, some for the perfect sound or the ideal word. Others for tranquillity or the forgotten histories of the ages. Some seek adventure for adventure's sake, while others might wish to find the sweetest food or the best wine, but all are capable of beating back the darkness if ever it threatens the light of the world, and because they adventure around the world, they are every nations first line of defence against the dark.
So that is it, that's pretty much as far as I have managed to get for now, and I would like your opinions on what I have so up to this point.

This seems okay, though nothing about it stands out for me about it. It seems like any other D&D world except it isn't called Faerun or Greyhawk or whatever.
Okay, maybe one thing is a bit strange. How come the subraces have no creativity? And you mentioned that they are treated as slaves. How does slavery work in this world? I ask because there are many different systems of slavery in human history, so understanding the larger picture is important.
One more question off the top of my head: What are the major sources of conflict in this world? Are there only 12 gods in this world? How do they get along with each other? Do they get along? If not, what do they disagree about?
