Hi all im starting a kids adventure (trying to drag them off xbox) with plenty of homebrew elements basically at the start of the game the party get mixed up with a 'biker' type gang of halflings that ride velociraptors that run a black market in exotic and bizarre animals. Im aiming for the party to end up owning a tame terrrasque with thier base built on its back but i dont just want them to basically ride godzilla into every fight any suggestions on how play the terrasque in a way that it has no combat function its basically a walking fort with some basic functions
How about an unremovable collar/brand/charm that deprives it of any and all violent intent? It could still technically step on people/stuff without necessarily the will to inflict damage (while indeed squishing them real good), but at least you would get rid of the possible "let's have our pet kill all of them" scenario.

You could have it rendered completely docile by divine intervention and incapable of harming any living thing willingly.
