I'm somewhat new to DnD, so if this is an actual item that I couldn't find, or there is something very similar, I apologize. My DM recently awarded me with a +1 Holy Symbol, which he described as a plus one to all spells (DC, attacks, modifier). I was trying to put this into a homebrew item, and managed to create an item that increases spell attacks and DC, but nothing that can change the modifier (such as on spiritual weapon, or the bonus for cure wounds/healing word). He said its most similar to having 22 wisdom, but it doesn't apply to to ability checks/saves, etc. Is there a way to increase this modifier that I'm missing or is this something that isn't implemented and I just need to keep mental tabs on it?
As far as I know, there is no way to increase your Spell Modifier without actually improving your Casting Ability.
There are items and ways to increase Spell Attack and Spell Save DC, but not the modifier - even with a homebrew item, as your damage modifier is based purely on your casting ability.

You'll have to keep track of it mentally.
I believe that the closest what you want is Bonus>Proficiency Bonus.
Alternatively you could see if the DM will just let it be a +2 bonus to your wisdom.
