Our DM doesn't allow casters to instantly scribe or know spells as they level. He does, however, allow casters to access spells they have worked on learning or teaching each other after x-number of sessions. This goes for my sorcerer as well.
Can someone walk me through, or direct me to, creating a sorcerer subclass for my wild sorcerer?
I like my character the way she is, am not interested in feats/abilities, etc.
I simply want to create a subclass as a placeholder so I don't have to click SPELLS > MANAGE SPELLS > ADD SPELLS for reference during sessions.
I have looked up well thought-out tutorials and articles, created the subclass, but nothing works. Currently I get this error message: "Sorcere is currently too similar to Wild Magic to share with the community."
BASIC INFORMATION SECTION Name, version, short description, description are filled out. Spellcasting ability is set to CHA. Everything else is blank.
ADDITIONAL CLASS FEATURE Name and description filled out, required class level 1. I have acid splash as one spell. Options: spells is acid splash, level divisor is 2, consumes spell slot is yes, counts as known spell is yes, always prepared is is yes, is infinite box is checked.
On the character page homebrew content is allowed, so are feats and multiclass requirements, but I can't access the subclass on my character sheet.
Any idea why?

I am having an issue creating a homebrew barbarian subclass. the subclass gives them a single spell they can use once per long rest but when i test it out the spell list doesnt even show up and theres no sign of the spell i chose anywhere. i even checked the box to givee the subclass innate spellcasting.

Well that has nothing to do with the original post. You could have/should have made a new thread.
Did you make a feature to add a spell? Post a link to the homebrew (you don't have to publish it) so a mod can look at it.

That message just means you can't publish it. You dont need to publish it in order to use it (which the message also tells you...).
Is the subclass in your collection and you have homebrew enabled in the character preferences?
Yes, it appears in my collection and homebrew is enabled.
Also, apologies for asking in the wrong forum type. Didn't see the homebrew option until later.
Then you should be able to select it. Post the URL of the character sheet and the homebrew for a mod to check.
The homebrew forum is more for posting homebrew for feedback. Questions on how to make it are okay in other forums (or so I have been told).

Homebrew (I think): https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/286474-sorcere
You can see two homebrew items in her inventory: a wondrous arcane focus item and a ring of concentration.
Hi there,
to change to the subclass you created, you need to:

Something so easy. Thanks Stormknight.
