So one thing I always wanted out of a druid, is one that is able to take the forms of animals more, well, casually. While you do get to wildshape at early levels, the uses are very limited, mostly to my understanding because allowing much more wildshape would mechanically be very overpowered.
My main goal in creating the circle of the kin subclass was mainly to create a more roleplay-focused druid subclass that allowed for a nerfed version of wildshape that can be used at will. This version does not grant you any hit points or combat advantage in any way (quite the opposite) in an attempt to create the sort of "casual wildshape" I was looking for without breaking the game's balance as a result.
Still, one ability doesn't make a subclass, and even if it did, the design may still have flaws I missed. So I would be quite grateful for your feedback on my attempt at subclass design :)
PS: It is my first time making something like this, so do forgive (but don't hesitate to point out) wording/phrasing mistakes I may have made while describing the features.
Have a great day / night!
