I ran into the same problem. I created a Breastplate and gave it Dex Full Modifier to make it special for my players, and the bonus is not working. This is not intuitive at all. I should be able to create whatever type of armor I want and give it any sort of Dex modifier I want. If you don't want to give players that option, then the creation system should not allow those options to be chosen in the first place.

as you will notice if you use this, though the Dex Bonus has been set for "Full Modifier" it still caps it at 2
The restrictions of the base item will still be in place.
If you wish to remove the dex restriction, change to lighter armour.

Spiked armor doesn't come in Light unfortunately and the whole point of the Battlerager is in that armor.
Oh well, nothing to do about it I guess.

Sorry for digging up old thread, but does this mean there is no way to override the Heavy DEX restriction for Heavy armor?
One would have to use a lighter (Medium) armor and change the Static Armor to that of the Heavy Armor?
