UPDATED: Now with MORE Japanese stuff! I've also renamed everything with the kanji in front, so that they will all more or less group together if you alphabetize your search results.
I've been creating a lot of Asian characters and have started trying my hand at homebrewing my own stuff since there's a general dearth of non-western content in D&D. My stuff is mostly Japanese, cause... I'm Japanese. Also I've been watching anime since probably before you were born. Currently my DM and I are designing a one-shot campaign in the Forgotten Realms equivalent of East Asia, except we're adding in a lot more in-depth historical and mythological references. Anyway here's the stuff that I actually feel confident enough to share:
Howling Fist (Hoeru Ken): My first homebrewed thingy! A feat I created for my own monk after a surprise plot twist revealing that they were cursed with lycanthropy.
Kaguya-Hime: Not enough patron options for my Japanese celestial warlock. So I made one. Yes there are magical girl references.
Heavenly Raiment (Hagoromo): Not enough fashion options for my Japanese celestial warlock, either (it does add +1 AC).
Suzumebachi: A named tantō that I created a while back for my monk. Recently jazzed it up a bit more for greater usability, including allowing the wielder to choose to deal either piercing or slashing damage because it should be a normal feature of swords, especially Japanese ones.
War Fan (Tessen): A fast thing I slapped together. Honestly not my favorite homebrew, but it's practical and uh, keeps you cool in the summer?
Asymmetrical Bow (Yumi): I was thinking about kyūdō when I made this, and I like how it turned out. This bow sacrifices attack speed for increased accuracy and damage.
I hope someone out there likes it! Any homebrew tips would also be appreciated. I'm still trying to learn all the code snippets.
