Innate Spellcasting. Kaguya-Hime's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring only verbal components:
At will: charm monster (5th level), charm person (5th level), dancing lights, guiding bolt (6th level), misty step, moonbeam (6th level), prayer of healing (4th level)
1/day each: geas (8th level), mass heal, reincarnate
Magic Resistance. Kaguya-Hime has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Kaguya-Hime fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.
Moonshadow. While Kaguya-Hime is on the material plane, she is immune to physical attacks.
Serenity. Kaguya-Hime is naturally surrounded by an aura of tranquility. She has the effect of a sanctuary around her at all times. The saving throw DC is 15.
Divine Retribution. Kaguya-Hime's race is beloved by the lunar deities, and any creature who tries to attack them will be punished in the name of the moon. Whenever a creature hits Kaguya-Hime with an attack or spell, that creature takes psychic damage equal to half the damage caused to her (rounded up) if she is not incapacitated.
Moon Healing (3/Day). Kaguya-Hime touches another creature. The target magically regains 40 (8d8 + 4) hit points and is freed from any curse, disease, poison, blindness, or deafness. Escalation. Kaguya-Hime can consolidate all three of her healing charges into a single casting of true resurrection.
Moon Princess Halation. A radiant glow and sparkles of positive energy emit outward from Kaguya-Hime in a sphere with a 30-foot radius. All non-good creatures in the sphere must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (4d8 + 4) radiant damage and becoming stunned on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Evil creatures have disadvantage on the saving throw. Good creatures in the sphere take no damage and are instead healed by the sparkles' energy for 22 (4d8 + 4) hit points.
Kaguya-Hime can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Kaguya-Hime regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.
Move. Kaguya-Hime moves up to half her speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Spellcasting. Kaguya-Hime can cast any of her innate spells.
Moon Prism. Kaguya-Hime creates a shimmering, multifaceted magical shield around herself or another creature she can see within 60 ft. of her. The target gains a +2 bonus to AC until the end of Kaguya-Hime's next turn.
Description
Long ago, a tragic princess from a mysterious race of Lunar Celestials was reincarnated in the mortal realm as a human, as punishment for a crime committed in a past life that she no longer remembered. The princess, named Kaguya in this incarnation, grew into a woman of supernatural beauty and brought great fortune to those around her, but ultimately was unable to take control over her own fate. When an entourage of Celestials came from the moon kingdom to take her back, she could not escape or resist and was spirited away, never to return to the world and people she had grown to love. As a Lunar Celestial, Kaguya is immortal and has access to magic that allows her to watch over the mortal realm, but she is only semi-corporeal when visiting there, and can only do so on nights with a full moon. Still mourning her lost human connections, Kaguya has been known to sometimes make pacts with mortals, especially other young women, asking only that they live out their lives with the freedom that she could not have. I wanted to create a Japanese warlock character and felt like the selection of potential patrons didn't have enough Asian options. So I made one (bonus if you like gratuitous Sailor Moon references).
I also created a matching accessory for the fashion-conscious warlocks out there: the Heavenly Raiment (Hagoromo). You get +1 to AC! But mostly it's just really pretty.
