I've recently homebrewed a "Pouch of Fairy Dust" and am looking for feedback. Thank you so much!
This item is loosely based on Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, and Queen Mab (who performs pranks on people while they are asleep, and is described as a midwife who helps sleepers "give birth" to their dreams) from Romeo and Juliet.
Oooh! I like that. How about this... "When used in conjunction with the Charm or Friends spells, it negates the angry reaction when said spells fade, erasing the memory of the period in which the creature was charmed."

I like that a lot! And it totally keeps with your theme.
I'm a big believer in "the rule of threes" in creative work like story-telling and other art. Two major and one minor effect for stuff like this always feels more complete and "balanced" to me.
I have a few issues with "dreams." I feel like the effect is a little underpowered and overtaxed. From a player perspective, this is only useful against enemies for the 25% chance they get whammied.
I say double down on this, have the dreams effect have an induced sleep property, DC13 con save or gain 1 level of exhaustion and be compelled to go to sleep.
Since all the side effects chances are multiples of 5, you can switch to a d20. But change the memory loss from 2d12 days to 2d8 hours before falling asleep. A 10% chance of forgetting half a month is a steep cost for a good night's rest...
Ok. Modified the dreams. I do believe the memory loss should be significant, but agree that potentially 24 days forgotten is too much. I've lowered it to 3 possible days. I like the idea of a Con save with a possibility of waking up with one level of Exhaustion. Nice add.

I meant they gain exhaustion as soon as fail save, then wake up without it. To represent them immediately becoming drowsy. I still think memory loss over 1 day is extreme, but there isn't a d3 (at least not that d&d uses) if you want that much range use 6d12 or something. Don't forget to put remove curse with lesser restoration to cure delirium, and maybe put heal with greater restoration to restore memories. Also this is harder to use and less reliable than poison, and too risky to use on self, who would use this effect?
Regarding who would use this effect - one of my players has it and the party was excited to use it in conjunction with a charm spell. It went well and added a lot to the flavor of the game. DMs are always welcome to custom tailor it as needed. Right now I like how it's set up. =)

I mean the sleep effect. Spells and poisons are more reliable if you are trying to target someone. And the risk of memory loss or delirium is too big a risk to use on yourself.
And exhaustion is on the wrong end of the sleep from where I suggested, further adding to reasons to not take it willingly.
The item isn't perfect. It's not meant to be. DM's who want to use it are welcome to tweak it for their own games. I am satisfied with it as it is now - and the item stands. I heartily encourage other DMs to take this item and use it as it is, or modify it to their heart's content. =)
Game master here. I just wanted to thank for the item posted, and comment on how i am planing on using it as inspiration on my campaign:
Two players campaign, heavily focused on the characters background and advancement. One of the characters (18 year old wood elf ranger) was an orphan living on a wood elf village.
The village has recently received an Raven (a chronomancer's familiar) carrying a prophetic message that the village will be atacked by gnolls. The players help defend the village, but the elder (the only one who the orphan really has bonds with) dies, but not before giving the Ranger and old telling the player to leave the village in search of her past, for which the Raven might have some clues about.
When the characters follow the Raven back to it's master, they will find an old Satyr, which is a wizzard from the chronurgy school, and kinda like a guardian of this woods, magically seeing events before they happen, and helping the woods agaisnst threats and perils. He has lost his ability to walk, and therefore uses the raven as his new way to explore.
Turns out this old Satyr was the one who found the child abandoned in the woods. He will be performing a ritual that lets the party see what hapened in a certain period of time in the past, as long as they have an object that was present in that scene, like seeing trhough the objects point of vier" (in that case, the mother heirloom). For the ritual, of course, they will need pixie dust. That's how i inted to introduce the party to a friendly pixie in distress, which will be a spellcaster sidekick to support them in ther journey and provide the Pouch of Fairy Dust.

It feels like it needs a third (minor) effect. Like, could it be used to augment or give advantage to charm/friend spells?

I like to create stuff, and always appreciate any feedback given to help improve the things i make.
To roll a d3 - roll a 6-sided die and divide it by 2. Round down if needed.
It's not a curse so remove curse would not apply.
