Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New Player Location/Timezone: Pacific Northwest, USA. Pacific Timezone Availability: Friday, 3pm until 11pm. PST Preferred role: Player Game style: Not sure as I am new. I am comfortable with combat and exploration, and I am looking forward to some good old fashion butt-kicking for goodness. I would love a game that had a good amount of combat and combat maps. I will be sad that i don't get to play with, and paint, models and terrain, but that will have to wait for COVID to end. I am an avid tabletop wargamer (Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, Malifaux, X-Wing, etc). I always wanted some storytelling or narrative elements added to the genre, but never found a game that did that well. i would often make house rules to add some narrative win conditions. When lockdown started I looked into D&D to see if it could scratch that wargamer combat itch but have a much stronger narrative edge. I watched a lot of Critical Role, Dungeon Dudes, and anything with B. Dave Walters on youtube and liked a lot of what I saw.
However, I am nervous about the roleplay social aspect. I want to give it a try, but I have never done any thing like it. And yes, I fully recognize that many of the youtubers are professional voice actors or have years of practice at roleplay. I do not expect that level of roleplay quality, but I would like to give it a good try. i will be super awkward to start with, but I am willing to try.

Thanks for the offer, but I am looking for as close to in person gaming as I can get. play by email does not seem to match close enough.
