Game: D&D 5e Group Preferred: Online Experience: Newbie (Technically) Location/Timezone: North Texas (CST/CDT) Availability: I work a night shift on a split schedule. On those days (Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday) I am available between 3pm and 7pm. My days of complete availability are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday. I will however say that I would prefer nothing before 3pm so that it doesn’t mess with my sleeping schedule. Preferred Role: Player Game Style: Roleplay heavy but definitely some combat. Contact: Discord (Ellisandra#1313)
A little bit more about myself: My name is Ellie and I’m in my late 20s. I’m an aspiring author who loves all forms of storytelling. And I got into DND in late 2019 after my friend convinced me to watch Dimension 20’s fantasy high (and the rest was history lol). I sadly however have not had a chance to actually take part in any campaigns or even any one shots. This of course being due to the quarantine combines with a previously inconsistent schedule. I did try some months back to find a group and I almost had a few successes but things fell through each time and I ended up giving up for a bit to focus on the chaos of the holidays and then occupational changes stirred up my life. But things are settling down now and I really wanted to get back to finding a place to fit in.
While I am technically a newbie to actually playing I have done quite a bit of reading (and own a few sourcebooks). I’m also not unfamiliar with the concept of roleplaying overall as I have roleplayed in a written capacity since I was fifteen. I know it’a different but I feel it gives me a slight advantage over myself had I been completely new to the concept.
Something else I feel the need to share is that if your group and/or DM have a whole RAW thing going on I probably am not the player for you. I’m a very chaotic person and I love endless possibilities (within reason ofc). I LOVE homebrew worlds, races,, subclasses, and more. I even have some stuff I’m working on that I’d love to brainstorm over with friends I hopefully make along the way. I also LOVE sci-fi and modern settings with fantasy twists and everything in between. My favorite classes are: Cleric & Sorcerer (tied) followed by Rogue & Bard.
Well I think that’s it for now. If you have any questions for me feel free to hit me up. Same goes for if you have a group and/or a campaign you’d think I’d fit in. Also just a last little note: I’m ultimately looking for a group I can mesh with and have fun with for a long time to come. Not really interested in a one-shot with strangers never to talk again kind of thing.
