Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online for now, Face-to-face in greater Austin area once everyone in the group is vaccinated and pandemic eases up (I'm fully vaccinated) Experience: Been playing for 1 year in a variety of campaigns. Conversant in the jargon and rules but also patient with newbies since I was one not too long ago. Location/Timezone: CST. I live in north central Austin. Available to meet in-person in greater Austin area. Availability: Evenings after 7 PM. Strongly prefer weekends. Regular weekly or bi-weekly meetup time preferred. Preferred role: Player Game style: I like a good mix of roleplaying and hack and slash. I like homebrew and casual campaigns where I can tailor my character's backstory to the campaign's world.
Hey there! Aaron here. I'm a player looking for a game and to make new friends. A little bit about me:
I'm a 39-year-old male and have lived in Austin most of my life. Open-minded and LGBTQ+ friendly. Married, no kids (unless you want to count my goofy pitbull mix). I work in accounting in the tech industry and also have a career in music (vocals and keyboards) and freelance accounting consulting work. As someone who is both creative and analytical, I love how D&D mixes both of those aspects into its blend of storytelling and adventure.
Over the last year, I've been playing an online homebrew 5E D&D campaign with a group of friends from Austin and elsewhere. Our group has been a lot of fun, but our DM has gotten pretty busy in the last few months, so our group has been mostly on hiatus since the new year. I'm looking for a new group of 3 - 4 players + DM. I'm fine with many different character classes, though I would love to try out a dragonborn paladin/warlock idea that I have. I'd prefer to join a longer-term campaign where the starting level is 5 or higher (since that's where the more fun class features come into play).
I'm fine with playing online for the time being but would love to transition to in-person in the greater Austin area once everyone in the group is comfortable doing so. Please let me know if you have a campaign in need of a fun, creative player!
