We are a group of four experienced players who are starting a new campaign and a DM bowed out due to job changes. We're looking for a DM who has a story to tell and wants good laughs and excited players.
Ideally we are looking for a DM who:
is open to homebrew subclass/classes;
is creative and flexible, who likes trying their own stuff instead of only play RAW;
is friendly, communicative, and has a sense of humor;
leans more towards a sandbox style game.
I'm probably over-emphasizing homebrew but it's been one of the hardest aspects of a good DM for us to find. Besides homebrew, good times are important to us. That comes in the form of good role play, creative stories, difficult decisions, and good laughs between friends. The four of us are all adults so please keep in mind an 18+ mindset. We don't encourage harassment of any kind, including racism or homophobia.
If this sounds like you, awesome! Please DM me for fastest response.
Hello there, my name is Matthew I'm 37 years old from California, I have been DM'ing for about 15 years, give or take. Ive been playing since i was 10 years old. Something my family got me into. I've currently run about 8 campaigns from start to finish. All of them ended as Epic, meaning level 20. The longest campaign took 72 sessions, so about a year and half straight every week. I have been looking to get back into it after a long sabbatical. I currently use Fantasy Grounds Classic as well TTS to run my games, or if worse comes to worse, Im good using Discord plugs to play. I'm all about the RP, less about the combat. Im not opposed to combat, but I'll usually focus my campaigns on the story rather than the combat. All of my campaigns originate on the Sword Coast. I've played most of my campaigns in Neverwinter or Waterdeep, some in Luskan. The thing about my stories is this, every other story or back history will eventually be entwined in the story so that everyone single player is not left out and that no one can succeed without the rest of the party. I like running games with Teamwork. I refuse to run an Evil Campaign, but i am not opposed to evil-run characters, you'll just have a handicap. Ive played with some awesome evil acted characters, and its a nice dynamic to have in a bunch of neutral or goodie-goodies. All classes except bard, and all races except changeling are acceptable. The reason I dont allow changeling is because they are broken as rogues. The reason I dont allow Bards is because they can do everything, too much power for one class.
Starting Equipment - You can pick one rare item and one uncommon item of your choice within reason. Every player starts off with 1000 gold with basic adventurer's equipment included.
Players: 3-5
Timezone / Session day: PST (pacific) Anyday during the week except fridays, Saturday/Sunday afternoon.
Age : 18+ no exceptions
So with this information, let me know if this is something you'd like to take part in. Im just about to draft the LFP post so that others can join in.
