Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online using Discord, D&D Beyond and Roll20 / age 21+ / LGBTQ+ & GSM welcome! Experience: Any - newer players are absolutely welcome! Location/Timezone: Germany, France / CEST Availability: Saturday evening starting between 7 and 8 pm / session lasting between 3 - 4 hours Preferred role: We’re all players Game style: Suited for newer players, not too serious but role play definitely encouraged! Open in terms of story or setting. Heyo! We are 3 still relatively new players from europe who are looking to get into a longer term campaign together. I’d say at least to around level 12 with the option to go beyond that if everything works out in life and within the group. So far 2 of us 3 have played the Lost Mine of Phandelver and are now looking forward to getting to use more of the content we bought like Xanathars and Tashas with new characters. We’re very open to any campaign setting but we do have a few ideas in what direction we’d like to go in, of course with a good story everything can be amazing so if you got a cool idea make sure to let us know. We’d like to do a bit of exploration in the wilds, maybe some coastal adventures, but also gladly in big cities, making cool discoveries and being driven forward by an engaging story. The Forgotten Realms setting sounds amazing because so far we only got to play in it once and it is so iconic for D&D but we’re also down to jump into a different world like Wildemount or some homebrew. If you have a world of your own creation, feel free to hit us up, a world none of the players know sounds super exciting! We’d love if our backstory could be woven into everything a little bit as well and our characters really feel tied to the world. We’d like to start at level 1 and work our way up. We’d also like to use the system presented by the Dungeon Coach on youtube to determine ability scores, where you roll 5 values as you normally would and then the 6th is determined based on your current total. In terms of players we are looking to fill at least one more spot, two max. So maybe there is a cool DM / Player duo out there or if you have a friend who wants to join a game with you but is a little less experienced, please feel invited to write that below, we’re all really chill and just want to have an awesome time together with you! As for classes and races I’d say you can pretty much pick anything from any official source or unearthed arcana tho please be aware that once our group is established the DM will always have the final say in these things. As for us, we are Dominique, Felix and Marco and we’re from france and germany. The game would run in english of course and we’d love to find people from europe for this campaign as it is overall just a little more pleasant with time zones and feels like a cool vibe to have an all european group. So far in our group we have a Druid, a Bard and a Barbarian but we can make adjustments if that should be necessary. A session 0 is definitely part of the plan as well as a quick chat with at least one of us in discord before, just to kinda set expectations and so we get to know each other a tiny bit before anything else is being planned and a commitment is being made. I really hope we can gather a group and have a really enjoyable time together!
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have below or lmk if I left out anything important so I can add it into the head post later! Thanks for reading! <3
Saturday would be fixed, in past campaigns we sometimes also did a session on sunday if we all were available in the evening. Throughout the week sadly doesnt work for most of us because of work and other commitments, even though waiting a week has been hard sometimes. :D
Are you sure if you just wanna start out a longer campaign like this would be a good fit? I can totally recommend playing Lost Mine of Phandelver or Dragon of Icespire Peak first because they are amazingly done pre written campaigns from Wizards of the Coasts and they don't go for as long. A good way to get your feet wet without completely diving into a long term commitment. And when it's over and the group has chemistry you could always go on another adventure together after ^-^

Hi - I'm from Switzerland and never played D&D but I'd love to try. Is Saturday evening fixed or would you guys also consider throughout the week?

I'm from Scotland. I'm new to dnd and just wondering if your still looking for players.
I was thinking about that too but don't think it would be an issue ... but Saturday unfortunately isn't going to work for me.
