Hello! I'm Stranger (any pronouns), and I'm once again recruiting for one of my many campaigns! This campaign, called Eventide, is a pre-existing game that has had a couple drop-outs for work/schedule-related purposes over the past few months, and is in need of a couple additions! I am looking for 2-3 players, preferably with some level of experience in 5e, to add to the group. This is a long-term game, currently 25 sessions in, and the group is at level 6. Because the group is currently in a somewhat tricksome place and time (literally), there will be some limits on available races and backgrounds.
Goliaths, sea elves, triton, dragonkin (mechanically dragonborn), dwarves, lizardfolk, yuan-ti, genasi, and fey-blooded characters will be the easiest to incorporate into the storyline at this time, but if you have a solid idea for a character that you think will fit, don't hesitate to apply with it! Absolutely no warforged, vedalkin, simic hybrids, or tortle, due to plot and lore reasons.
About Inspired in part by Hot Springs Island, Eventide is an exploration-focused and RP-heavy hexcrawl-for-now game set in my homebrew world of Theosia. The original premise of the game had a group of pirateering adventurers ferried off to a previously-undiscovered, supposedly-uninhabited island in the so-called cursed waters off of Ipecteotl. By now, however, the original party have all fled or died, and various interesting characters have taken their places. The current party have not only found themselves deep within an island that houses more secrets than it does answers, but also flung into the distant past, a past so long-lost to time that it houses entire races of peoples not known to modern Theosia. A prophecy calling for the destruction of the island hangs heavy over their heads. Will their actions in the past shape a different future? Or will everything play out just as it was meant to? Rules & Requirements
21+ only, no exceptions. (M-rated fade-to-black table with safety tools in play.)
You must be able and willing to commit to making the game every week on a long-term basis.
Discord for voice and music, Astral for VTT (free). Decent quality headset/mic & reliable internet.
LGBTQIA+ BIPOC Neurodiverse safe space here. I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry.
I allow only my own homebrew; no outside homebrew will be accepted.
You must be comfortable with romantic content. We're all queer AF and love to set ships asail.
Accepting applications through the link below only; do not DM/message me or comment here to apply. Please direct questions to the comments section.
Current Roster - Cathalen, he/him Winter Eladrin Shadow Sorcerer/Hexblade Warlock (will be taking some levels in Paladin). Cold and calculating, but coming from a minor courtly background, he knows he to play well with others. He's ambitious and goal-oriented. - Lily, she/they Dwelf (dwarf/elf homebrew) Shepherd Druid. Kind and caring, Lily hails from the Feywild, and is curious about her strange dwarven ancestors, the Rothmuir. She enjoys cooking and drinking. - Lyan, he/him dhampir Soulknife Rogue. Hailing from a demiplane Domain of Dread on the island called Resthmius, Lyan is quick to push shiny red buttons, but even quicker to place himself between his allies and harm's way. Prone to climbing on the walls, quite literally.
Darn I wish my work schedule didn’t conflict because this sounds like an awesome group!! I’m a queer af shipper myself, and love roleplay focused games. If you’re ever looking for players for a later game or just someone to chat with and bounce ideas off of, feel free to shoot me a message~
This sounds exactly like the kind of game I want to play in! Sadly it’s during a time I definitely work :/ if you ever start a game at a later time or different day, I’d love to hear about it!
Reopening applications for this! The person we brought in ended up overbooking themselves and couldn't stay unfortunately, so we're still looking!
If you previously filled this out, no need to re-apply!
:: SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES ::
Race Restrictions. No warforged, simic hybrid, vedalkin, tortle. Some races may be particularly difficult to incorporate into the game, so it is important that applicants are open to adjusting history and even race as necessary.
The players are currently traversing through a volcano's underground tunnels to head to the Fey North. The easiest characters to incorporate would be a goliath or fire genasi, and potentially a dwarf (duergar or homebrew subrace only), drow, or hobgoblin. Alternatively, if you don't mind waiting until the party actually reaches the Fey North, a fey-based character would also work, but that might take a couple weeks due to the regions they have to get through before arriving at the Fey North. (Alternatively, if your character is from there and looking to return, having explored some of the island, but has a good reason to continue with an adventuring party afterwards, then that could work too!)
Listed party roster and level from first post still apply. Be warned that I've placed some fairly OP items in front of the party thusfar... and... they've acquired them... so uuuuuuh yeah if that would annoy you, sorry bb. :p
Just realized I had messages and friend invites blocked on discord, so if you tried to contact me, sorry bout that. If I prove worthy hit me up on my discord tag from my application, fixed my reclusive settings.
