In the Valley of the Bellwinds, a small sleepy town called Berceau has reported the presence of a strange storm slowly inching its way near the town’s border. Underneath the storm’s turbulent clouds, the locals speak of slime-like monsters, round like tear-drops, raining from the sky as thick as a midsummer shower, wreaking havoc and destruction wherever they land. Unless something is done, it is only a matter of time before the clouds hover above the townsfolk like an executioner’s axe...
Cruising 20,000 feet high above the sky, you - along with some sturdy souls sent to investigate this incident- stand aboard a skyship airbound towards Berceau as the chilly valley air rushes and tumbles past whirring propellers and fluctuating sails.
In the distance, you begin to see the faint outlines of the valley. The gentle, green slopes of the valley open itself up to you as if drawing you into a tender embrace. As the skyship begins its descent into the valley, the tender plain grasses below shiver in anticipation of your arrival.
What stories will come of your arrival to the Valley? What will you leave behind as your legacy? That, my friend, is only for you to tell...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About me:
Hi, I’m Caterson! I’ve been DMing for 5e for about three years now and spent those three years crafting a detailed and intricate homebrew universe. My goal is to provide a safe and immersive roleplaying experience for all my players. I also do the art for tokens and maps too!
About the Setting
The continent that this campaign takes place on is called Edertia where magic flows through its soil as blood flows through veins and arteries. It is an old and weary land, watered by blood and ploughed by strife. Countless nations and empires have passed by its lands like whispers in the wind.
The people that have settled amongst its mountains, plateaus, canyons, and river deltas have long abandoned the old ways of magic (though some stubbornly cling to it) and established their own system of magic through logic and reason. They call it izophysics, and through it, many advancements have been made such as sky travel, rail barges, and izovolticity to the benefit of many. However, it has also led to the creation of powerful weapons with each nation hoarding izophysical secrets and weaponry. The entire continent is a powder keg, ready to blow at the touch of the faintest spark…
Campaign Playstyle:
Aiming to create an immersive storytelling experience that emphasizes and rewards role-play, exploration and character growth. I am very attentive to details and as a result, your choices in the Valley of the Bellwinds, big or small, will have an impact on not only the land but its people as well.
Campaign basics:
• This will be a voice-only game on Roll20 and we will be using Discord as the primary form of communication. • Sessions will approximately be 3-4 hours long and the default day is set for Sunday. • Aiming around a 9-10 session long campaign in general. • I will hold a Session 0 for each player individually before the start of session 1. • Characters will start at level 3. Players may choose point buy, stat array or choose to gamble it all and roll for stats. • Edertia is diverse with many peoples and cultures! All officially released content from the Wizards of the Coast for 5e will be allowed. Any Unearthed Arcana or homebrew material will need approval before being allowed into the game.
Player Expectations
• Players are expected to be courteous and respectful to each other at all times and to actively participate in the sessions. • Stuff happens! If something happens that causes you to miss the session, please let me know within 24 hours before session starts and we can see if we can work something out with the other players! • If something happens that causes a problem with the group, you will receive one warning. A repeat offense will require a talk. A repeat of the same offense a third time will result in immediate removal from the game. • Racism, homophobia, and sexual harassment will not be tolerated and any incident will result in **immediate removal from the game** without a warning.
How to Apply!
If you are interested in applying, please fill out the questionnaire below underneath the thread. I will begin selecting applicants within 1 week of this listing.
I have never played 5e before! I used to play Pathfinder, World of Darkness, and Rogue Trader, but unfortunately due to school and other conflicts these groups ended up falling apart :(
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
While I haven't played 5e, one of my favorite experiences during a pathfinder campaign was the introduction of my character Isa (she/they). It was my first time experimenting with a low CHA character, and I didn't like the feeling of playing them as someone who was uncomfortable around others, so I made them so overly charismatic that it put people off. They had a thick russian accent, and a big hearty laugh. "HELLO! Ahaaah, my name is Isa Bilufta Rhirthala Hashiti, but you may call me Isa! I am top shielded fighter in Sorgro (homebrew location), brappity brap. Do you want to be top shielded fighter like me? HAH, Very well, I will teach you. Step one, you must always carry fishing rod....... so you can catch your enemies by surprise, yes? AHAH Good joke, funny. Why aren't you laughing! A smile suits a soldier is what I say friend, and you are my friend."
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I would love to make some new friends, stretch my roleplaying muscles a bit and explore and learn with my party. I miss it! I'm big into puzzles and character growth, but a little combat doesn't hurt. Perhaps 66-75% RP and Exploration Split evenly, and the remaining 25-33% combat!
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I'm really enjoying reading and learning about the new Strixhaven Owlin race through the released playtest pdfs. So, I'd like to play Pip: An Owlin Wizard with the Mage of Prismari Subclass, resembling a Northern Saw-Whet Owl!
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
Pip's family always worked with sweets. Whether that was through baked treats like sweet rolls and jellied doughnuts, or caramel candies and butterscotch melts. She had intended to work with her Pop in the store they owned in their small town. "We'll rename it Pip's & Pop's!" she said, smiling widely. Her parents loved her dearly. Her Pop especially - always proud of his little owlin daughter who wanted to carry on and take over the family business.
As Pip got older, she theorized about using sugar and candy as performance art and thought: "Wouldn't this be a great addition to Pip & Pop's Magnificent and Marvelous Sweets?" She decided she wanted to learn more about performance and enrolled at Prismari College as a Wizard Candidate. Prismari College is dedicated to the visual and performing arts and bolstered with the power of the elements - and how cool would it be to heat and cool candy with her palms alone?
Through her time at Prismari College, she learned about other ingredients. Ingredients from monsters. Rare meats that could be candied, or slime ooze that changes the composition of baked goods, and upon leaving her alma mater, she decided it was time to explore and see what else she could bring home to her humble mom and pop shop. Her parents would understand, and she's a wizard now! She could do it, no problem.
So, she finds herself on a skyship, 20,000 feet above the sky, exploring and learning about all things edible (and maybe, not so much). Sure Berceau has reported strange storms and slimes. But strange storms and slimes! What other fun treats could she find? Of course, she'd investigate! Maybe something tasty and new will come out of the slime and goo.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Sunday is a great day for me. I'm in the EST timezone and can attend sessions during the day or in the evening! I just would need the sessions to end (or I would need to leave) by 11PM as I have work in the morning :(
How long have you played 5e? I've played 5e for a while now, close to 6 years. I'm familiar with other systems too, like Pathfinder, SWN, Lancer and others.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e? I've had a few, but I can list some of my personal favorites. - When playing a Warlock, I killed the BBEG with a spectral anchor - During a one-shot, I crit-hit a dragon with a Dwarven Thrower, effectively hitting it out of the sky - During a battle royale for funsies game, I Power Word Kill'ed a near-godlike Monk
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages? Honestly I'm pretty flexible when it comes to combat, RP and exploration. A nice even split between the three is always nice.
What character class and race do you intend on playing? While I'm unsure of race, I'd like to play a class that I haven't had a chance to run in a campaign yet, like a Monk or a Sorcerer.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free? Unfortunately, Sundays are a bit up-in-the-air for me as of right now. Any other day barring Monday would be fine for me, timezone permitting, ofc.
I watch high rollers but Ive yet to have the pleasure of actually playing trying to start my first delve into it
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
I love the the stories and characters that are met along the way
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I’d like to learn the basics and develop myself as a player, I can’t really speak right now but I’d like a nice split but I would say I like story/ rp stuff a ton
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I’d like to be either a tiefling bard or cleric
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
A tough past, everyone always assumed I was a demon, I devoted myself to my craft to try to help people but people automatically assumed the worst from my race. I want to help but sometimes I cant help but to be the monster they make me out to be
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
yes Sunday is definitely the best but saturday works too
How long have you played 5e? one year but ive been fairly into everything so far
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e? I am playing a super cool character atm for my school adventure league and it just been cool.
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages? I just like d&d and everything cool. I personally like more roleplay but combat is always fun to.
What character class and race do you intend on playing? Wood Elf Ranger or a Half Giant (homebrew) druid. But I am willing to fit the campaign needs
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations? For the first one his clan was wiped out entirely and wishes to never let governments do the same the second is just a lonely mountain dweller who like butterfly's https://ddb.ac/characters/63255589/DjGNDr
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free? Every day except Thursdays starting Jan 4th and my school schedule is tbd next semester
i just made this account and have only played dnd 1 time. i have noi idea what that is. :(
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
let me look this up... oh i see. my group and i faut a massive turtle and ended up making it cry and run away (as fast as a turtle can)
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?

What character class and race do you intend on playing?
druid and wood elf
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
a acid slime ate his mom. i dont think that needs more thought than a acid slime ate his mom. he is also very bright and genrally a fun person to be around.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
I have played for a few years but mostly as a Dm for my brothers intermittently they are not good at keeping a set scheduled and I would like to play with people who show up
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
We played a really fun game where my brother had an Dwarf hero who we found in this underground temple. when ever he died he would be cloned and we would have to go back and get a new one but he would loose all his memory from after he left so it was a pain and also we would lie to him about stuff he promised to do for us.
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
personally I really like the role play part I love the like world building and talking to the other characters in interesting scenarios but I also love combat and fighting big monsters with witty one liners.
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I wanted to play a fighter Tiefling
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
I don't have a good name but she is a Tiefling who was born on the same day a great tragedy struck her home village. she was blamed for it and after a few years the villagers ran her out of town she wound up with some mercs who took her in as their assistant and mostly setting up camp getting water cooking things like that. after a while they taught her to fight as she got older and she became one of them. she is big 7'10" Purple and she looks quite intimidating. when she speaks it is usually a joke (probably Dirty) and she is a bit intense when she gets onto a subject she likes she will talk non stop otherwise she minds her own business.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
I have Saturday and Sunday off depending on our time difference It may be better for me to do Saturday but I am off on sundays
I really appreciate that you are upfront with your expectations for players right at the start. I'm glad to hear any kind of racism/homophobia/sexism is not tolerated.
How long have you played 5e?
I've been playing 5e for about a year and a half, and 3.5 before that. In my most recent campaign (Sept 2020-Oct 2021), I never missed a session.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
My party was fighting a shambling mound. Our warlock and my bard teamed up with a mind sliver and unsettling words combo to ensure the mound would fail its saving throw against the monk's levitate spell. Once we had the mound aloft in the air, we eldritch-blasted it to death! I really enjoyed that moment because each member of the team played a key role in coordinating the finishing move. It was a lot more fun combining abilities than if one player had done it alone!
I also think that sometimes the best moments can come from failure. Roleplaying those low roles can be just has fun, if not more, than the high ones. I once failed a saving throw against an evil book; suddenly I felt the insatiable need to have it and did increasingly desperate things to try and get it back from my party. The barbarian had to restrain me until the effect wore off!
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I'm looking for roleplay 50%, exploration 25%, and combat 25%, but open to anything. I think how a person behaves in combat is also a great way to develop a character - are you someone who prioritizes fighting, or healing others? When two members are down, who do you choose to save?
I think the more we develop our characters, the better every aspects of the campaign is.
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I've been a rogue, sorcerer, bard, and monk; I'm tempted to try something new and go gnome cleric or wizard! I've never played a half-caster, but could go for a triton paladin. I think I could have fun with any build, so whatever balances out the party.
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
l do not have one at this time. I would love to know more about Edertia and connect my character to some location or event in its recent past, to tie my story more closely to your world.
There a few things I always like to give my characters:
- A flaw that I KNOW will come back to haunt them [my most recent character was naive and too over-confident. She learned her lesson about why its important to do proper reconnaissance the hard way. Had the campaign gone longer, I think her klepto tendencies would have blown up in her face as well]
- A legitimate fear, and a ridiculous fear for laughs [i.e. fire and chickens]
- Someone they care about who is still alive. Whether or not the BBEG targets this person is, of course, up to the DM.
- At least one vague part of my backstory the DM can adapt to suit the campaign. My wife is missing; is she alive or dead? Has she joined the enemy? Where did my magic come from? What did I do during the year I can't remember? It will be a fun surprise for the party and myself when we find out!
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Currently, Saturdays are my best bet. I have a commitment Sunday evenings, but I think that is a temporary situation.
Started playing 5e around 2017, used to play 3.5e back in high school.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
I've been DMing for a bunch of my friends, they're all first-timers to tabletop. They recently completely annihilated my BBEG through some really great planning and impressive ingenuity. Any moment where the party has been able to band together and all contribute and shine in their own way has always been my favourite, I think it really sums up what is great about D&D
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I enjoy a good mix, percentage-wise I'd say 70% noncombat 30% combat
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I like playing supportive casters, usually wizards, bards, or clerics. If a specific role or class is needed for party breakdown I'm more than happy to fill the niche.
Halfling or maybe elf for race, I usually play monstrous races and want to play something more classical fantasy
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
Dipp Slowroast, Halfling Cleric
Dipp had a fairly standard halfling childhood, his days were filled with fishing, dancing, and merrymaking. He developed a love for food and cooking early on, loving to help his parents prepare meals for his extensive family and later becoming the village baker. Dipp lived this life until a group of refugees came across the small halfling village. Their town had been destroyed by a dragon and they were making their way to the closest city, in an attempt to start a new life. Dipp and his village didn't know how to react, so they defaulted to what they knew best, they invited the refugees to join the village for dinner and an impromptu feast was put on. Dipp saw then how much his cooking changed these people, he saw the desperation and despair leave their eyes to be replaced with hope. Dipp had always heard stories of great heroes that were able to change the world and save countless people, and while he had only helped a few, and merely filled a few stomachs, he was determined to try his hardest.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free? Sunday works fine for me. I have a flexible schedule, the only real time I'm unavailable is Saturday Evenings NA time.
If you wish to contact either here on DNDBeyond or Discord: SeirVedMini#5760 is fine
I'd say around 6 months now. Been doing RPG's and such for a long time before, doing characters for even longer time.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
Actually when our party was constantly on verge of TPK. We were doing Hoard of Dragon Queen, and we really didn't want to take rests. Partially bit us in the rear, since a lot of fights were pretty much for our lives and we had to put all our teamwork and cordination into it. Was really fun for me though! I enjoy those specific moments of struggle and drama.
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I'd say: 50 Combat/10 Exploration/40 Role-Play
I don't like giving myself huge expectations, but I do expected degree of companionship and a lot of teamwork. I wish for party to work as well oiled machine and to complement one another, both in Role-Play and in Combat. Overall - just wish to have good time of course, like everyone else.
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
Clerics, Wizards, Fighters, Paladins mainly my picks. I do tend to play casters more, and if I'd had to choose one - it will be Cleric.
In terms of races: I play mainly Dragonborns and Kobolds. Sometimes I can pull out Elf or Human or even Lineage character though!
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
I always have character ideas, but what I play really depends on rest of the party comp.
I can however talk a bit about one of my past characters:
Sofia is Dragonborn Wizard, from really respected noble family. She always had talent for magic and urge to make her parents proud - so she pushed herself and neglected risks that it may bring. And she payed for it. She couldn't control that one spell, it was way beyond her power. It injured her and people around her, made her parents look like fools and she disappointed them. Everyone. She was send away to the Order of Keepers, as a punishment - and a lesson, to learn discipline and control. In Order - she was lectured, that magic is dangerous and reckless magic users - even more. Magic must be control and each magic user - must be documented and contained, in case they posses danger to rest of the world. Scared by her past misdeed, she believed everything that was told, justifying everything in her own head. Magic is dangerous.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Sunday is prefered and ideal. I can possibly do Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe Friday, but I'm not sure exactly.
Hey, I'm Allie! I'm 19, I use He/They pronouns, and I'm in CET.
How long have you played 5e?
I've played 5e for around 1+ years by now! I started right before quarantine hit last year! Likewise, I have around 3+ Months of DM Experience as well!
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
It's a close race between hitting someone in the crotch with a rotten tomato while using a flying ship or pushing a guard out of a massive tower and just jumping after. Oh, and talking about a close race, My Favorite DM Experience is of a player now being Known as the Cheese Man due to winning the cheese race and rolling a Nat 20 on his great speech to share the cheese
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
I'm fine with 50 / 50, though it can be also more role-play oriented! I wouldn't be necessarily interested in a pure hack n' slash, as I do like the role playing aspect!
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I have a character named Caeryax who is this Satyr Druid that I have on my back burner and haven't gotten to play yet! Though, I'm completely fine with swapping out classes or playing a completely different character if it fits the setting better, or we have those slots taking up already! I'm usually a Battle caster, but I would be open to trying out a melee class, (: pow, pow
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
Well, in the Case that I do play Caeryax, I'm gonna talk about them! Caeryax is a Satyr who just exists- I know this might sound boring but to him, that is how it is. He doesn't know about Birth or similar things, he just thinks that things exist and then don't exist. Caeryax is a peaceful soul, spending most of his life (which is to him just one- ish year) on a grass plane and taking care of the wildlife! Now to get to the juicy part, the backstory! Caeryax was born like everyone else, to two loving parents, and grew up to be a bit of a more Stern and Focused Fighter, working alongside the Guards and Having earned quite the heavy amount of scars from it. Though technically at the point of the story around two years ago, he was ambushed while on his way to his next mission, The Attackers raided him and threw him into the nearby river, leaving him to drown. Though thankfully a nearby wanderer found him before it was too late and pulled him out of the water, opting to stay by his side. Yet, the blunt force trauma of hitting the River Rocks and the lack of Oxygen left Caery in a coma for a couple of days, which led to the wanderer leaving him with some food and a blade before moving on. Once Caeryax woke up, he remembered barely anything, nothing about himself nor the world around him. Caeryax Adopted the Name Caeryax from the blade he found by him once he woke up, living his life on just existing in this grass field.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days when you might be free?
Sunday could be an ideal time, if it isn't too late! I'd be free on any weekday but Wednesday as well! My only bad days are Wednesday and a certain amount of time on Saturday!
While I started my interest in 5e about four years ago and had an on-and-off campaign then with exposure after that, I have been playing regularly for just about a year now! I was in a long-standing campaign up until a few days ago, and I would like to have a new group to help refill that part of my life.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
Oh boy I have a few :D but my favorite one was when I figured out very early into our campaign the true potential of my first character, a young Circle of Stars Kobold named Rhus.
My party of five had been attacked by Goblin groups a few times and had come across a make-shift fort which held the rest of a Goblin militia led by a Hobgoblin, his Bugbear lieutenant, and a few Cockatrices. The enemies got the jump on us as we were trying to spy on them, and we started to freak out a bit because we were low level, freshly level 2 from two sessions ago.
We rolled initiative, and I was pretty high on the order, so when my turn came, I dove into Starry Form just to see what it could do. I spent that battle frying half the militia with Archer Form and Guiding Bolts with a slew of the luckiest high rolls, including two Nat 20’s, and really proved that my little Kobold was a force to be reckoned with! That was one of the first real big WOW moments I had with 5e, and I’ve been hooked since!
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
Honestly, I would love 50% Roleplay, 30% Exploration, and 20% Combat. I enjoy combat, but my last campaign was very heavy on it, and it felt like I could never get words in for Roleplay, which I have grown to really love. However, I would still be totally fine with whichever style the campaign runs with, and whatever fellow players would like to do as well :D
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I have had an idea for a while of a Bard/Ranger Changeling that I simply never got a chance to introduce, if multiclassing is alright by you? If not, I am willing to work on whatever I can to make a character well suited for the campaign!
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
My character-in-mind is a Changeling performer named Moira Toume, the Wandering Wordsmith!
To sum up her backstory, she was raised by an adoptive father, Sileus Toume, in a traveling troupe of performers, nothing too professional but they were always seen as a delight when passing through towns and cities. As she grew, she learned the ropes, and began to really catch on, quickly becoming a crowd favorite in her young years.
This continued wonderfully as she grew into her teen years and gave Moira a wonderful time in her life until one night when her troupe, while traveling between towns, was attacked and robbed by some petty bandits. While there were no casualties, and the troupe recovered quickly from their losses, Moira set her mind on a different task: she wanted to make people smile, just as she had always done, but she wanted to make the world a better place at the same time, by protecting those same people from the things that go bump in the night.
With one last farewell to her father and her family, Moira set out on her own to accomplish her goal: make the world a brighter and a safer place, going wherever she may be needed most, and what better way to spot trouble than 20,000 feet up!
As for her personality, Moira can be headstrong and hard focused at times, but loves to be around others and usually gets along well, lending to her years in the troupe. She is always fiercely protective of anyone she would call friend or family and has a great personality when it comes to calming and helping those in distress. Her friendliness is also helpful when she passes through towns, as she still carries her mantle as a performer alongside protecting folks from what they fear, and loves to meet with locals, whether that be in the streets or in a nearby inn.
Speaking in terms of description, I imagine Moira is in her mid to late-20’s, bold and determined but still can be a tad naive to the world around her. For looks, she’s a fairly typical Changeling: pale white skin, mid-length grey-white hair, and white eyes; she is also pretty standard height, around 5’4”. I would say she is most likely either an Entertainer or a Folk Hero in background, and definitely a Good alignment, probably Lawful due to strong morals :D
Naturally she has some quirks and flaws, though I have not thought of many like that just yet. I think that would be a great thing to think of for Session 0!
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Honestly, Sunday is the perfect day for me, and any time after around 3 or 4pm EST would be great. If that does not work, I am free most days of the week after 7pm EST if any of those days become more ideal to meet on!
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
One of my favorite moments was when my Monk, Tsubaki, was reunited with her sister during the first arc's final battle with the then BBEG. She saw her adopted sibling kneeling down taking papers from a cursed book that we didn't realize at the time was a ritual blade. I screamed her name and she stared at me startled, and looked panicked. When Baki used Shadow Step to go meet her she was confused why her sister then chose to run away, going as far as to use an Anti Life Shell to ensure I could not follow her down the corridor. She promised we would talk soon. Months in game passed and while our Artificer was negotiating with Dwarves, Baki received a curious sending from her sister Li. All Li asked was her location. Tsubaki went into a room to answer her quietly only for the sister to scry on her and teleport to her location.
The sisters have been separated for years, barely knew each other, and boy did Li rip into Baki, trying to get a reaction and find a reason to hate her eldest sister. Baki, racked with shame and guilt only stood in boiling guilt and remorse. It would not be their last meeting, as Li fled again, both confused and hurt. Through out the course of the campaign, we learned that Li was horribly treated and, without fully form consent, signed into a pact with Graz'zt. Eventually Li asks her sister after Baki finds her by accident at a club playing with her new friends and band if Baki could help her break her pact with Graz'zt. The most fun I've had was rekindling what was thought to be a dead relationship with her sister and both learning that yes, they want to be in each others lives again. Start over. Li wasn't the center of Baki's development, but she played a big part in teaching Tsubaki in how to embrace sisterhood. Together they destroyed the very essence of a Demon Lord, stop a raging fascist from turning the continent into a sheet of ice, and rediscovered family. I won't forget how important Li became to Tsubaki. There were genuine tears and squeals of delight seeing Li develop a fun rapport with the party and become family. To think she started out in a cult for clowns.
My favorite experience is honestly the character growth, when you can pinpoint the shift in which *change* your character fundamentally.
I mean, on fridays I get to fight a whole moon, so I think that's a pretty neat experience.
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
Honestly? Bonding. Bonding, laughter, and sprinkle in the angst. I prefer an 80/20 for combat but anything works so long as we get to have fun with our characters and see where their stories take them.
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I have been itching to play an elven undeadlock, or even trying something new with an aasimar eloquence bard. Oh, or an Aberrant Mind sorcerer but the race is still in the works. I tend to hyperfixate on certain characters so I do not have a giant horde and instead keep one or two in mind while building a 12 page google doc in the background.
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
I'm not sure if this is just a plain 'yes' or 'no' question but yes!
Undeadlock: Enter Genesis, a high elven woman that resides currently in the Weeping City (Schluchzen) that is surrounded by the Black Woods (Schawrzwälder). While life may seem grand being the apprentice to the wizard of the Tower: Labyrinth, Genesis is dying. She must wrench free from the 'matronly' being Bogyo or be crushed by it's undying love. It is difficult, as Bogyo stalks the Eastern Woods, but Nes believes if she can somehow find a tome that is strong enough to break the unwilling pact or find Bogyo's sister, Yigyi, she may be able to be free.
Nes, while spending the first while of her life as a feral child, grew up around nobility once the infamous wizard named Aldous Weber rescued her from the edges of the woods and thus is a bit snooty fruity. Coming off vain, she frets and fusses over her make up and outward appearance, not because it is what everyone should strive to be but to make *her* *feel* less like a walking corpse. She likes unconventional fashion and has fun with colors and face paint which in the Weeping City is normal amongst the nobility, but probably silly anywhere else.
She operates much like a good aligned character, but her (ir)rational fear of death at too young an age will force her hand to lean more towards a neutral alignment. It can be chilling, how unphased she can be towards the worse parts of society. Overall she does like to spend time reading to the kids and teens books from her favorite fairy tale collections and will even give a few gold pieces if she can spare any to those that ask or are in need. Need a night for self care involving hydrating your skin, cucumbers on your eyes, fresh painted nails and cut cuticles? She's your gal.
Motivation: Live a full life free of the creature that claims to be her mother (Long term), find a pretty gown and new nail polish (short term), return to the Tower: Labyrinth with her father figure (long term), See a play about a fairy tale involving a lost princess with absurdly long hair (Short term)
Girl just kind of wants to be allowed to be a hedonist without a recently killed-but-out-of-spite-came-back-undead eldritch goat trying to gaslight her into thinking she's its kid.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Maybe around 5-6 pm? But really I'm good any time sunday EST. I'm free (as of now) Tuesdays and Thursdays as well!
My name is Leo, nice to meet you! I am a 25 year old NB (they/them) living on the west coast in the PST timezone.
How long have you played 5e?
I've been playing 5th edition as a DM and loosely as a player since it came out 7 years ago.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
My party at the time consisted of a Tempest Cleric, Tiefling Ranger, Aasiamar Blood Hunter, and a Half Elf Druid. The BBEG was a time traveling sorcerer working for what would be one of three gods of time in my setting who was mucking with the timeline to create a more favorable one for him and the rest of the clergy. A while back I had given the party a pouch of anti-magic dust (originating from a mage hunter guild), and got hit in the face with my hubris for doing so. The BBEG starts the encounter by casting Forcecage to trap the party on the deck to monologue as this encounter has built since the very first session of the game. The party however was having none of it, the Ranger's familiar was able to remain hidden and knock off BBEG's concentration on the spell allowing the Cleric to close the distance between them and the BBEG. The Cleric uses their turn to throw a handful of this dust on the BBEG, cancelling all active magic effects and items. The BBEG (of course) failed the save and began to rapidly age and wither in front of the party, and eventually just crumple into dust.

What character class and race do you intend on playing?
Human Oath of Vengeance Paladin
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
No name yet, that being said I had the idea that the character's lover was killed by a traveling adventure party due to their own recklessness and catching them in the crossfire of some sort of job within the city/open road/what say you. The character would be on a quest to avenge their lover's death and bring justice down on the party that robbed them of their beloved. They'd be LN (working on the code/tenant), and I'd do my best to play them less as a hero of the light and more of an antihero.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Sunday works for me! I'm home by 3pm PST Mon-Fri, but cannot do Saturdays due to me still DM'ing my own game.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
Had a Rogue/Druid Kenku, who found love in creatures, especially in spiders. They some how found out about a goddess known as the Queen of Spiders, aka Loth, and wanted to be a tricky one to spread her word. But really it was just craving small spiders into a building, and spread word of the spider queen as a good omen. One that will capture any bad people in the city. Basically making very good deception rolls and spreading words in an underground thieves guild, to quote on quote to provide bad information to anybody who wasn't part of the guild and steal from rich merchants by making distractions. The Kenku is now seeking revenge on a vampire who killed a singing awaken crab who the group befriended.

What character class and race do you intend on playing?
Kobold Ranger Drakewarden
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
A simple kobold who born underneath of a city, following the sewers to hide. Though fond out there is more to life then just staying underground. Even though he was mostly blind above ground during the sunlight hours, his love for meat drove him above ground and he started to hunt to survive. After some time in the wild he found himself an egg, thinking he was going to have the meal of his life, it suddenly hatches as he try to pick it up. Causing for a burn mark tattoo to appear on the back of his own hand, of a shimmering multicolor chromatic dragon spilling out flame with the same colors out from it's mouth. The new dragon was already the same size as the kobold, and became quite attach to the kobold.
The kobold and the small dragon/drake are basically brother in arms who speak to each other casual about the ideal of tasty new foods, mostly meats, and obtaining more gold for their hoard they are trying to build together. The kobold also thinking he was blessed by a dragon, sense he seem to have some kind of powers. But if anybody ask the kobold, they are a small dragonborn who can't use their breath attack.
Now they travel to find ways to improve their wealth.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free? I would be Bi-weekly if allowed to be, due to my work schedule.
I played mainly 3e & 4e as a kid but I'm familiar with the rules and I've played a few one-shots over the past couple years.
What's a really cool or memorable experience you have had while playing 5e?
Oh boy, so the last one-shot I was in we were all playing as fairies of varying classes (with the most ridiculous names, mine was Nutterbutt) and we were doing a mansion heist. It started off well, very serious atmosphere despite the fact we couldn't stop giggling at each other. Then our only rogue rolled a nat 1 on his skill check to disarm a trap and was promptly impaled and died before any of us could do anything. There was a moment of silence before the barbarian of the group flew into a rage and screamed "FOR BUBBLES!!!" (the rogue's name) and charged ahead. Naturally mass chaos descended and while we succeeded, only 2 of the 6 of us made it out alive. I think that might have been the hardest I've ever laughed during a game.
What are you looking for in particular in this campaign? In terms of combat, role-playing and exploration, what would be your ideal percentages?
The thing about D&D that has always drawn me in is the creativity and emotions it can draw out of people. Yes I'm here to play a game, but more than that I want to tell a story with the group. I want to make memories! As for the game itself, I love all aspects of it and prefer a healthy blend of all three. I like when the roleplay drives the combat and exploration. If I had to assign percentages I guess I would say 40% roleplay, 30% combat, 30% exploration.
What character class and race do you intend on playing?
I have an idea for a human wildfire druid trying to escape his criminal past. Since we'd be starting at level 3 I'm hoping I could multiclass one level into either monk or rogue to reflect his past!
If you have a character concept, could you give a character overview such as backstory, personality, or motivations?
Garrett had a difficult upbringing being raised in an orphanage located in the slums and eventually, once he was old enough, joined a gang as a source of companionship. Gradually the petty crimes he was committing grew larger and larger until he found himself part of an infamous criminal organization and discovered he had a particular affinity for arson. One night after a bender in his liquor-addled mind he got it into his head that it would be a good idea to burn down the orphanage that he grew up in. The screams of the people still inside is what sobered him up and in his state of shock, horror, and self-loathing he turned and ran. Ran far from the city, no idea where he was going only that it was far away from everything that turned him into the monster he'd become. Garrett was eventually found weak and starved half to death by a wandering druid who nursed him back to health. That's whom he learned his abilities as a druid from.
As for personality I think he would he would be gruff and abrasive. Not unkind but blunt and to-the-point. Can cut loose when he's around trusted friends but it's been so long since he's had that he's not sure he's capable of it anymore.
Garrett is trying to run from his past while also helping and protecting people. He sees himself as a monster who deserves the worst but believes that he can do good and genuinely tries to. The thought of returning to his birthplace makes him nauseous, and his dreams are still haunted by the sounds of screaming children. But he considers that just the beginning of his penance and would gladly sacrifice himself for someone or something he believes in.
I also had an idea about his wildfire spirit. It takes the form of a chunky raccoon named Gus who, in classic trash panda form, likes to dig around in trash and other people's belongings and swipe stuff when Garrett isn't paying attention to him. In combat he listens and obeys but as soon as he's out of danger he's a mischievous little gremlin.
Would Sunday be an ideal time for you? Are there any other days where you might be free?
Sundays work great, they're my only regular day off. I work in the service industry so my schedule comes out weekly and it changes up frequently, but I can try to swap around if we decide on a day other that Sunday.

About me:

How long have you played 5e?
I just would need the sessions to end (or I would need to leave) by 11PM as I have work in the morning :(
what timezone?
I am in Eastern butI'll try my best to coordinate with other players.

- When playing a Warlock, I killed the BBEG with a spectral anchor
- During a one-shot, I crit-hit a dragon with a Dwarven Thrower, effectively hitting it out of the sky
- During a battle royale for funsies game, I Power Word Kill'ed a near-godlike Monk

How long have you played 5e?

How long have you played 5e?

Sunday is prefered and ideal. I can possibly do Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe Friday, but I'm not sure exactly.

How long have you played 5e?

How long have you played 5e?
About two years now!

How long have you played 5e?
