The Curse of the Fallen is a zombie apocalypse setting agnostic story. I have been working on this for several months and plan to continue to add to it as we go along. Right now there already a half dozen custom subclasses with another dozen at least on the way. Custom magic items, monsters, backgrounds, will all be available in this story. So if you have ever wanted to be the hero of a zombie apocalypse then this is the game for you!
We will be playing in my homebrew world of Statera a plane ruled by balance. But in this story the plane has teetered a little too far in the wrong direction. A curse laid upon the land by an unknown source has made it so that the dead do not stay that way for very long. Some think it the work of Aktos the God of Insanity, some see it as the presence of Tarrum the Draconic Deity of Destruction returning to the plane, and others see it at the breaking down of the plane of Limbo where souls go to be judged. Not a single one knows what has happened for sure though and it is here that we find our heroes. Surviving in the end of the world as they try to save it the best they can.
AirDnD is a drop in drop out system that I have devised so that people can get that Dungeons and Dragons scratch itched while not having to make the commitment to a full campaign. You can jump in to one session and never play again or play as many times as your heart desires. All sessions will be mostly independent of each other so no need to have played in the previous session to jump in part way.
About me as the Game Master!
Hello, I often go by PUN, I am 24, I use the He/They pronouns. I live in Texas with my boyfriend and two cats. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about half my life. I have been a Dungeon Master for over 6 years. I have been a professional Dungeon Master for right at a year now. I started out in 3.5 and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.
My GMing style is a bit more laid back than most I have experienced in my day. I hate the feeling of the DM being against or "beating" the players. My goal is to build a story with and around the player in my game. If you are not having fun then I am not having fun.
I love a good roleplay heavy session. I have a couple of voices that I can do but don't make fun of me for slipping in and out of them! I am a super laid back and a "will of the players" type GM. The "rule of cool" is something I live by, I may allow something to happen just because I deem it cool. I sometimes twist or bend the rules to make a game more fun for both the players and myself. I mostly run a homebrew game but love running more sandbox modules such as Out of the Abyss.
About the Game.
With the Drop in Drop out style of this game things may be a bit different than what you are used to playing. The number one requirement will be a team of players and characters that are willing to work together. This not being a full campaign the team comradery will not have a whole lot of time to build. But with the right people I know we can continue to have a great session.
The session will revolve around the Safe House that the characters are at. Running supply missions, finding survivors, helping to find the cure to the Curse. All of these things and more as we learn about the world and what happened to it. Players will build characters before the session and be brought together to work on a mission
All races and classes in official Wizards of the Coast published book are free game to use. I am even open to allowing UA/Homebrew as long as it has been submitted and approved by me before session 1 begins. We will be using roll20 for maps and combats, discord for voice chat, and D&Dbeyond for character sheet upkeep and rolling. There is an extension (beyond20) that allows you to roll on D&DBeyond and it port it over to roll20 and I have found it to be super effective. So that will be used as well.
Player will start at level 8 and progress the story progresses.
What to expect.
Payment for games is as follows: $50 via PayPal no later than 24 hours before the session. Missed session will only be refunded if 24 hour notice was give.
I know $50 a session can sound steep to play D&D but that is less than $10 an hour for the four hours that we play together. I put a lot of time and energy into making these games enjoyable for you and tailored to each group. This is my full time job so I can focus on my games and only my games. I also have reviews of the players I currently have in my games to help attest to the fact that this game will indeed be worth the price tag.
The sessions will be ran 5pm-11pm CST. Starting out we will only be doing the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. We will be playing with 6 players.
Parting words
I understand that paying money to play this game can sometimes be off putting. But when you consider the man hours I put into creating an immersive story for you to play, D&Dbeyond content, as well as other purchases I make to run a great session, it is almost nothing to pay for the numerous hours of enjoyment that you will receive in return. It not only assures my level of commitment but the other players as well. If you are concerned at all about my quality as a Dungeon Master I have 18 players currently paying for my games, and dozens more, that I have played with in the past, who would vouch for my ability.
I do require my players to be 18+, this allows for more mature topics to be discussed, but other than that all are welcome to apply. I can work with any skill level from the just watched CritRole (or other D&D media) and want to play to the old timers playing since before I was born. Something I have to add is, be open to constructive criticism, old players and new alike, we are playing a collaborative storytelling game together. If someone has an issue with something that happened we should be able to settle it as adults. If that is not something you think you can do I ask that you please find another game. If you can, then I will welcome you with open arms to our (virtual) table.

If you have made it this far in the post I commend you. I hope to see you at the table playing alongside me in this amazing new adventure. Bonus points if you can name the nine villains who rule the lands. If you are at all interested in playing a game with me please respond to this post with the following:
