1WingedAngel here, but you can simply call me Seph, yes it is a FF7 reference. It has been awhile since I have hopped into a game of DnD and I have been dying to do so again. I have limited campaign experience, sadly the last two I have been in have faded away but I am eager to learn all there is to the game once again.
I live on the east coast of the United States so my time zone is EST.
I am in college so things can be busy but my most free days are usually Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
I am okay with either using Skype or Discord
I have some experience with roll20 and this is my first time using DnD Beyond
I am hoping to find a lenient DM who is fine with a touch of Homebrew or at least willing to work with me on this concept that I have.
I am female but I tend to make male characters, if that is going to be an issue then it is probably best not you invite me to your group
There is nothing wrong with a female using or creating male characters for DND, or gaming period. I know of other females like yourself using male characters, avatars, etc. I personally admire people who go out of their way to express what they want and how they are happy with their creations... On the same note, i have seen a few males make amazing female characters for use. I personally have played / created a female avariel character. And in all fairness i'd use one again. I am not afraid to admit it...It is good to see females playing a male, regardless of race, class, personality, age etc.. With that said, I want to say that i am happy your being true to yourself and what you like
Thank you for the kind words! I wanted to go ahead and state that because I have been in two campaigns where that was an issue. One DM straight up denied me from making a male character and in the other campaign a member of the party kept referring to my character as a she even though I had made it quite clear he was male. It is nice to see I am not alone and it is very nice to meet you Daryl.
In response to your message, I wanted to say that DM sounds like he is not worth your time nor energy. Clearly they dont realize that by limiting you on this, it is rude and annoying. After all DND is a break from the real world. It gives us a chance to relax and unwind. So your better off without those jerks. As for the one person, who keeps referring to your character as she instead of he, they seem to love stirring up drama. Dont let them bother you. Just be you and find other gamers who wont limit your creativity. Personally I am happy to have met you. We sound like we share the same view on things....If you dont mind me asking, what Race and Class do you like to use in DND? I normally use Ranger / Rogue. Plus i love that my female elf can fly...Hence the avariel. Flying is a thing i love to do when in campaigns. Any ways it is a pleasure to meet you, I truly hope you can find a DM / Group who is more nice. I would invite you to campaigh with me and two others but i am not sure if you would be up to playing 3rd E. Plus i take my time to write up campaigns, and still need to get a new mic for skype DND sessions. With that being said, i wouldnt dare ask anyone to wait on me. The other players are my wife and a friend ive known on XBL for six years...They know i am slow to get things done, lol. I do hope you have a good day and feel free to message me if you need help, advice, etc etc
