Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New with no experience. Most of my friends don't know the rules even. Location/Timezone: Toronto (EST) and a few friends in PST Schedule: We should be available on Saturday and Sunday Roles sought: DM (Would be preferred with someone that's EXTREMELY patient and has some experience beforehand) Game style: Casual 5e.
Right now I'm in the process of finding out when we would all be ready to start, so it might be in 2 weeks from.
I am not the most experienced DM but I have run 2 campaigns using a mixture of homebrew and published modules along with numerous one shot sessions. Every campaign and session I have run has had at least one new player. I am on CST but if the sessions are run on Saturdays or Sundays I should be able to alter my schedule to meet your needs.
A few questions:
What is the number of people in the group? There is a lot to be considered in the difference between 4 to 5 players in my opinion.
What mode of online play were you considering?
If you are interested please let me know, though I do require a Session Zero before we commit to make sure everyone will know what to expect and be happy playing together.
Hey, I'm also looking to DM and I'm totally down to work with new players. I'm a teacher by trade so I'm pretty patient I'd say.
I've got lots of guides and tips to help new players as well. I'm down for Saturdays, maybe Sundays. We could use Roll20 or something similar for online play. I find it works really well with a very small learning curve. Same as some other folks, I'd prefer to do a session zero first to meet the group.
If you're interested my discord is nonqualified #6514. Shoot me a message if you're still looking.

Good luck finding a DM!
