In a new high fantasy homebrew world, the mainland (Malthor) stands as a defensive coastline against the forces of the badlands (Calcular). Separated by 100 miles of ocean, 100 years of silence from the badlands causes a relaxation in the defences of the mainland.

Within 3 months; 8 islands, 15 docks, and 42 ships have fallen to the forces of Calcular in sudden attacks.

You awake in a jail cell upon a ship. Last thing you remember was being in the Howling Docks on Malthor.
