I've played DnD 5E a few times and have watched many, many, episodes of DnD games. I love the game, have a couple characters that are fleshed out, and would love to find a group to play with. I would prefer in-person, because there is just something magical with being in the presence of others while rolling dice and just the overall experience, but online works too. Ideally the group would be somewhat diverse and I am more than happy to meet before officially joining any group to make sure we have good vibes through and through.
The last games I've played never finished for one reason or another, and toxic players in one.
I value getting into the character and "living" as our characters would in the game. I don't like meta-gaming (hard to avoid at times because we always want to be optimal), and I don't like murder-hobos, or playing the game in a way that an actual person wouldn't really behave, mainly doing whatever they want without consequences. I'm also okay doing a one-shot before doing a long campaign.
From a mechanics standpoint, and I apologize for using them as a point of reference since I'm sure people don't want to be compared to them, I like the way Matt Mercer and Brennan Lee handle the rules, along with the "Rule of Cool". Again, I'm not saying I'm expecting a DM to match their style and storytelling skills (would be awesome, obviously but I don't compare), this is just saying that I prefer to follow the general rules of 5E, with the homebrew/changing of certain rules like they do.
I am a 38M, Mexican, and have everything to join a game. I'm okay with mature themes, however, anything extreme, like S/A related, is too much for my tastes.
My Mondays and Tuesdays are typically free after 4:30pm, and Sundays are completely open. I may be able to free up time on Wednesday and Thursday, but I won't be able to start until around 6pm-6:30pm because I commute for work. Saturdays I can start no later than 11am, since I'm busy after 2:30pm most of the time.
If you read this far, I appreciate you.
