Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: open to all experience Location/Timezone: uk time (gmt/bst) Schedule: Mondays at 18:00 Roles sought: I have 3 players and looking for 1-2 more Game style: This game and group is RP heavy, with combat being between 1-3 sessions depending on the antics.
Campaign Description:
In this world, life is as hard or easy as the fates decide. As simply as a random flip of a coin, everything can change. Long ago it wasn't quite like this, but with evolution came great threats. A separation of the lesser life spans and the longer ones. A race known as the Dwellers helped the mortal races and sent them to the sky beyond the fog. To a place you know as Erabore…
Erabore is a land above a sea of fog covering the forgotten realm of Deoria. Erabore is a wild archipelago of raised pillar islands that descend back into the fog. Every now and then an island might fall, and others may rise. New islands are a hub for treasure hunters and explorers alike. They may hold new flora and fauna that could help or be a great danger to civilization. The most notable fauna that can freely travel in and out of the fog are the sky Leviathans. These are some of the mortals best companions or their greatest adversary. They are used for transport and protection alike, but wild ones can pose a threat to any sky farer. With many being territorial and others just taking the opportunity for a quick meal, they are a force to be awed.
Of all the mortals there is a clear separation between some races. To the south west there is the Dwargosia, a nation founded by the Dwarves harboring Dwarves, Gnomes and some Halflings. The south east holds Elvaria, a nation of all manner of Elves and Fairy. In the centre you find the united confederacy, a mostly Human and Tiefling nation but a nation most open to outsiders. West of this is a criminal den full of anyone that on the other side of order called the collectors. They protect themselves with ancient tech from below, keeping all other nations at bay. And to the far north east lay the savages a land of Orcs, Goblins, Hobs and Bugbears. Here fighting is king, the strong lead and everyone else falls in line. That all being said the outlying villages are open to all. A few dwellers remain above the fog unable or unwilling to return below. It is believed that to venture below the fog means death. Many have tried, none returned. But the remains of vessels on new islands.
You all find yourself in an outlying village on an island under the confederacy flag. Everest village is preparing for their annual wine festival with their special luminous wine. The Lumino bush only seems to grow in the soil on this one island. And so the village is a great commercial hub for this one product. Though being close to the Collectors hub means they have the odd ruffian coming through, keeping their leader happy with a free case limits trouble. On this wondrous day the air seems to vibrate with excitement… at least you think it's the excitement.
If im. It mistaken this would be 2pm est in the US which works fine for me 90% of the time (every so often I have tk work Mondays but I know weeks ahead of time when it will be ). I like the idea of a divided world (old tech lost in he fog .....the new world up above). I'd be interested in playing ...im assuming standard d&d races and such. I've. Even playing on and off since 2nd edition (yes the days of THAC0) I'd like to discuss some character stiffness you ha e time....im in discord Valdimaar Hranisson (Ryan)
