Campaign Title: The Legends of Phelan DM Name & Pronouns: Genie (him/her) Platform: Discord, D&D Beyond, Theater of the Mind (for now) Time Zone: ICT (UTC+7)
Number of Players Needed: 2-3 Session Day(s) and Time: Sundays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM Campaign Length: Campaign (long-term) Frequency: Weekly
Edition & Ruleset: D&D 5e 2024 Rules (within reason), homebrew rules Campaign Setting: Homebrew Theme/Tone: Heavy Roleplay, Light with some serious themes and undertones
Starting Level: 6 Homebrew Allowed?: I'm open to any ideas, but will have final say Player Experience Level Preferred: Preferably players with some experience, but players of all levels are welcome to apply!
About The Campaign:You find yourself in the Kingdom of Phelan, a land ruled by the High King with a relatively limp hand. Whether you've traveled from afar or spent your whole life in these lands, you're aware of its notorious reputation: avarice, corruption, murder...no citizen is a stranger to it. The act of enforcing the laws of these lands is left to the local guards and governments of Phelan's five duchies as well as the legendary Seven Knights of Phelan of course, but even the finest men can be bought or persuaded with the right currency. From the depths of the Varsovian Sea, to the exotic plants of the Shattered Isles, to the summits of the Stormgrey Mountains, mysteries and secrets are waiting to be uncovered. Will you rub elbows with nobles in Solumet and find yourself the trusted right hand of the High King? Will you commit true acts of heroism and become the Eighth Knight of Phelan? Or will you raze every hamlet from Sogretta to Summerset to the ground, the mention of your very name sending shivers down people's spines? This world is what you make it.
We currently have 2 PCs (a Half-Orc Artificer and a Human Paladin) and 2 NPCs (a Tabaxi Rogue/Artificer and an Elf Druid). Hopefully, I get enough players that the NPCs don't need to be relied on as much. We are also about 15 sessions in, which is why you'll be starting at level 6.
About The DM: Hi, I'm Genie! I've been playing D&D for a few years now and this is my second time trying to form a table for my homebrew game (the first table fell apart because life be lifing). I'm an expat living abroad, which is why I'm in a strange time zone. I'm a proponent of collaborative storytelling and having the party work together as a team to unravel whatever puzzle I throw at them. I'm not much of a stickler for rules; I mainly use them as a guidebook and would prefer to rely on Rule of Cool, so if you're strictly RAW you need not apply. Lastly, my priority is fostering a safe space for my players to express themselves and tell their stories, so I do not tolerate hate or discrimination at my table. I will warn you once before kicking you from the table altogether.
How To Apply: Please leave a message below or in my DMs with my completed application. Please make sure all questions are addressed or you may not receive a response.

Time zone:
Please confirm: are you able to play every Sunday night 6:30-9:30 ICT (be advised ICT is Indochina Time)?
Which D&D class is your favorite and why?
How do you feel about roleplay-heavy games?
Are you okay with adult, dark, or gruesome themes?
Please confirm: are you able to play every Sunday night 6:30-9:30 ICT (be advised ICT is Indochina Time)? Yes this is 12:30-3:30pm for me on Sunday afternoons if im not mistaken by timezone conversion which is free and ideal!
Which D&D class is your favorite and why? artificer (armourer-can you tell I am an iron man fanboy lol?) because smart but also tacky spell caster but I intend to play paladin this time
How do you feel about roleplay-heavy games? LOVE THEM
Are you okay with adult, dark, or gruesome themes? yup
What are you looking for in a DM? Someone who won't take away player autonomy (this doesn't mean let me get away with shit or violate the '**** around and find out' rule: I punch a tarrasque I get stepped on and that's logic....but if I have amnesia for a month in my backstory and you put a wife and kids in there without consulting me ooh? we may have some words...fair?)
What are you looking for in fellow players? consensual doc communication and good friendly fun. Just because im ok with you punching my character doesn't mean my character will be etc etc
What are you looking to get out of this campaign? fun and friend and a little dramatic drama and cathartic rp?
What about this game stuck out? Nice DM, lgbt+ friendly, cool fantasy premise and political drama and knights etc - meets my times
oh. I also have a SMIGE of 2014 and 3rd party/homebrew I'd like to run by you that's cool but you said rule flexible attitude so here's hoping? please?
