I'd just like to start this off by saying I'm extremely new to the game, and TTRPGs in general, still learning how it all works.
Game: DnD 5e 2014, or 2024.
Group Preferred: Online - Discord
Experience: I am completely new, but any and all are welcome!
Time-zone: UTC-04:00
Availability: Weekends preferred butavailable usually at 22:00PM in the UCT-04:00 time-zone!
Preferred Role: Player for now, but when I learn more about the game I would be down to DM!
Game style: More into the roleplay aspect of DnD. But combat is a part of the game, the more we learn the more we can do!
I've been writing characters and worldbuilding in my spare time as a hobby, I was doing it since a teenager, I am now 27. From watching YouTube videos, and seeing clips of DnD I felt maybe it was time to try and find a group that could maybe teach me the ropes of the game -- or new players to try and figure it out together. It seems like a really fun way to meet people and make new friends, and memories along the way.
I would like to find a more long-term group of people to play DnD with, that're looking for like-minded people for a mature immersive experience in DnD! We treat each other with respect, listen to each other, and all try to make it a memorable experience for everyone within the group. Which includes collaborative efforts instead of trying to take control. We all should want to enrich each others experience rather than control it! It could be an official campaign, homebrew, or we all work together to build a world where we could have awesome sessions! I have a decent mic, and I also have a webcam I could use to make it feel like we're actually sitting up at a table together.
DNI (DO NOT INTERACT)
Minors, Meta-Gamers, People that don't know how to communicate their perspectives. People that don't know how to separate themselves from their character. People that can't have serious roleplay moments if playing a more joke character.
I would like to find emotionally mature players/DMs that know how to behave in a professional way when it comes to disputes and arguments. Where we work together more than trying to be the one who's 'right' in a situation if an argument or dispute occurs. Which means if you do have a dispute/argument you won't hold it against the other person, or let it effect your friendship/relation. To make it a safe place where we all come to create awesome stories, have awesome battles, and more. Where we could help each other create and flourish!! (I put this up twice to reinforce this, so sorry.)
Be sure to send a DM or reply to see if we are a good fit! I use Discord mostly, it seems to be the best way to talk about what we're doing, keep track of sessions (recaps/synopsis,) and making sure everyone has a good scheduled time to play sessions. I am also down to make a server for a dedicated group! I am still learning the game, with all the lore, and campaigns and learning the rules, it could be a bit of a rough start. Once I learn I'll be able to DM, and be able to give a more immersive experience for other players! Sorry about the formatting of the post, or if I prattled on too long about certain things. Looking forward to hearing from you guys!
Hi there! I help run a Westmarch DnD server on Discord and would love to chat about seeing if you wanted to try us out! My discord is drakurredragon, feel free to reach out.
