SCAM ALERT: "Free" Games with Required Character Art

Hello LFGers!

A PSA from the Community Team: be wary of any game that insists you must pay a specific artist for character art before you join the game, and/or games that won't allow you to bring your own character art first. We're seeing an influx of scammers across the TTRPG space advertising games with requirements like these:

• Any character is allowed as long as it fits the story
• Character art is required, style is flexible
• An official campaign artist will create the artwork
• Artwork cost is separate — the campaign itself is 100% FREE

While some groups may prefer to have a consistent art style across characters, this is something that should always be something negotiated with all players at the table. If you have suspicions that an LFG post is a scam, please report it and myself and the moderation team will evaluate. Always use your best judgement to remain safe.
