D&D Beyond
Hey everyone,
We’re The Waterdeep Delvers, an online D&D 5e group that’s been playing together for about half a year, and we’re looking for 1–2 new players to join at an excellent entry point in the campaign.
The campaign is designed to run all the way to level 20 and is currently at level 4 (soon level 5).
About the Campaign
This is a hardcore, dungeon-focused campaign with a strong roleplay layer and multiple long-term storylines.
The game is a custom blend of:
Travel exists and matters, but we focus on the meaningful parts. Long journeys still require preparation (rations, planning, consequences), but we skip the boring stretches and jump straight to the interesting locations, dangerous terrain, and story-relevant moments.
There are no meaningless random encounters — every encounter serves a narrative, mechanical, or thematic purpose.
All characters are professional dungeon delvers, members of the Yawning Portal’s dungeon delvers’ guild, and dungeon delving is how they earn their living.

The party recently accepted a job that was too dangerous and encountered a black dragon. Between bad player rolls and great dragon rolls, the dungeon resulted in a near wipe.
Out of four characters, only one survived:
The other players are now creating new characters, making this a perfect moment for new players to step in without feeling behind.

We’re taking a Christmas break, but I’ll be doing intro calls during that time. The campaign resumes in Waterdeep afterward.
