Hello you two. I hope to figure this all out and start a game around 4:00pm on Sunday this weekend if possible. Please note that I have no idea what I'm doing and this might not work out. EsmeGoldStafff, since you've played before, do you think you could help me figure this all out. This is my first time even playing this game with real people, let alone starting my own actual campaign. I might need some help.

I am in Australia. So literally the opposite side.

A little off topic of the dnd conversation, but how is it down there? I heard that your country has only discovered, like, a third of the insect species you have, and that most of the ones you have discovered are extremely dangerous. Not to mention the scary amount of snakes, also the fact that Australia is apparently extremely hot most of the time. I mean it's really cold up here but that's not much worse than sweating in the blistering heat all the time.

Hello I am a newb to D&D and wondering if there is a chance to join the campaign. 

AceLazy10 and skyleresf, of course you can join. Besides, that would make the paty exactly four players which is the usual amount to my understanding. I must warn you though, and Darian_Elderhorn and EsmeGoldStafff as well, I don't know any of the complex rules or anything. The only things I understand is what the dice are and what they're supposed to do, the fact that I'm pretty much in control of the universe, and that the players can attempt literally anything they want when it's their turn. Basically, just the absolute baseline. If you want to play an actual game where all the rules are actually followed, you should probably go somewhere else. My campaign is just going to have extremely casual gameplay but with an extremely intense story.

honestly friend as a partial dm, I made half the stuff up since I'm to stubborn to buy the books and would rather make my own rulings up lol

Sounds awesome, between the two of you this campaign should be a really fun game. With times where are we all located? Countries and time zones. I am near Melbourne Australia

well I'm an hour behind stump in CST time I guess we should prob make like a discord server or smth for clearer comms

I'm not so much as a newbie anymore, yet I'm still learning abilities with other classes since I've been running cleric class with my friends I play with every Friday. We have a great DM, though the other players don't care about the role playing aspect and just like combat. While that's fun to an extent I'd like to experience another DM style. I live East Coast USA, 4:00 PM could work but I have to be done by 6 or 6:30. 7 is our Sunday game night.

Should I just create a whole new level one character If we are all starting from scratch? Or use my level three clerk? Thanks

also question so i have a backstory set and ready to go (altered to fit the campaign) is that needed or no?

Everyone here can join if they want and none of you have to change your character or make a whole new one up. I am very creative and would love the challenge of figuring out a story with a bunch of crazy characters that might not fit the story I have planned. Just remember to use Ontario, Canada time to join at 4pm. We're all probably in different time zones so I can't figure out what time each and every one of you have to join to be there at 4pm on my timeline. That's your job.  Also skyleresf, your idea for a discord thing sounds great! We might as well play the dnd game on discord but you will have to send the link so we can all join. I don't have discord though and therefore have no idea how it works. I imagine it's very aimple to figure out but just in case, please be patient with me. I'm going to install discord now. If thats how that even works.

So will this take place jun 14 2026? Ontario time 4pm? How will we contact each other if a discord server is made?
