I've never played D&D before, but I'd like to give it a try. Due to busy life schedule (kids, jobs, commute, etc..) I can't commit to a certain time, or time period to play. But I do have access to email at all times, and would be able to commit to checking in and playing every day.
I'm brand new and i'm reading up on the basic rules now, but it would be great to get in with someone experienced who wouldn't mind providing some guidance, and answering newbie questions.
Being new, I don't really know 100% what to expect, but I can promise that I won't be "that" member (arguing with the DM, expecting special treatment, forcing my own creations into the game that doesn't really fit, generally causing undue drama, etc) and I will commit to a full campaign (if it goes well sticking with the group long term for multiple campaigns would be a plus).
I'm not big into in-person role-playing, I'm more interested in story and character progression, but I will do my best to fit in with whatever level of roleplaying the group does. I do like reading and writing, so I think the email medium would work well for me. Posts on a forum would probably be fine as well, just so long as the expected response time isn't to strict.
I'd love a traditional fantasy setting, along the lines of Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms. I don't have any characters created yet, but I am willing to create one to specifically fit the group if needed.
I don't know if this is overly specific, or what my chances are of finding a group like this, but I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone is interested.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
