Terrible threat gathers in the North. Throughout this region of Forgotten Realms, savage marauders bring destruction. Monsters are on the prowl, preying on flocks, rampaging through the croplands, and attacking homesteads and travelers. In settlements, discord and suspicion grow. Sinister strangers lurk in the shadows, whispering about how everything is soon to change. This year brought an unseasonably warm and stormy spring. Tales spread of flooding, windstorms, wildfires and tremors....
DM seeking to form a new party of brave adventurers. This will be a digital group, based on EST time. I plan to run the group using Discord, and likely either Roll 20, or another similar online D&D platform.
I would love to help take a group through the Princes of the Apocalypse published content.
Prefer 18+ applicants. So go ahead and post your responses, and I will start the process of putting the group together.
Please introduce yourself in the post, give a bit of your D&D background, and provide a character idea or two. Doesn't have to be too specific yet, just give a general idea so that we can start to form a party.
I have found in the past that 4 is a very good number for a D&D party. But I'm open to as many as 6 if the group dynamics work.
I'm flexible on when we meet, and time-frame depending on what works for the group. But I would like us to meet at least once every two weeks to keep it active.
This sounds great! I'm on PST time, but I might be able to make times work depending on the others (my current group on hiatus was on EST too). I'm still fairly new to DND, I've played for about a year now off and on. I have probably too many character ideas and would be open to any of them depending on what other people are wanting to do. I confess I don't have any experience with this setting but I love researching these things! My last character was a Drow Ranger (Gloom Stalker - tho the Horizon Walker archetype is very intriguing), I also have a half elf paladin or fighter idea, human wizard (although I think maybe I need some more experience before I take that on), but I'm open to pretty much anything! Coming up with characters is half the fun.
Hi, I'm Shawn and I have some experience playing DND in real life.
I do like playing a damage dealer who can also offer some support. Something like an Aasimar Divine Soul Sorcerer or a Human non-life Cleric.
I would like to join a DND group, but I understand if my availability may prevent me. I am usually available Mon or Thursday after 6pm EST. Or anytime Saturday or Sunday.
Hello I have been DMing a group of my friends at my house since about January and would love to just play a character. I am still kinda new I was the friend that got nominated to DM so thats all the xp i have lol.
I was thinking of a silver dragonborn fighter or a tiefling hexblade warlock
Hi There! I'm Haley and I am 25 years old. I am a relatively new player to DND. I have played 2 campaigns on Roll20 in the past year, and am open to learning and am good note-taker during sessions! I have a fighter Aasimar or a ranger rock gnome. I also am open to creating another to benefit the party as needed, since I'd love the opportunity to play more kinds of characters!
As for availability, I am open after 7 pm on Wednesdays, and flexible on evenings Thursday, Friday, and Saturday all MST. I can do Sundays as well, but earlier since I work Monday mornings.
I appreciate the opportunity, and hope you find a great group to play with!
Yo! My name is Mega. I'm a 26-year-old guy who teaches English as a Foreign Language in Lima, Peru. My D&D experience amounts to a year of playing locally with friends, more than half a year streaming a game on Twitch, and a few months with a game through a Discord group, so I think that puts me in the novice territory.
I have a few character ideas, but my favorites in this moment are a Yuan-Ti /Aasimar Sorcerer that is basically Indiana Jones in concept and a Tabaxi Swashbuckler that travels the world in search of treasures as well as his former captain and lover who betrayed him long ago. I have a good feeling about playing these.
I can be reached on Discord via MegaZ900#2784, if that is your preference. Hope to hear from you!
Hey I'm Ryan 28, I'm new to 5e had about 4 years of experience on 3.5e, I'm able to play at Tuesday nights or Saturday nights after 7:00 CST I can possibly make adjustments on the day just have to talk to wife first make sure she is ok with it.
My main character idea is a Halfling Rogue/Arcane Trickster, he is very very flashy noble wears bright silk cloths over his leather armor, he lets everyone know he comes into a building with fireworks coming out of his hands transferring straight to the lute as his invisible mage hand goes around taking the crowds gold.
My name is Jason, I live in Oklahoma. I would be interested in playing. I have a few years experience in 5e and several from previous editions. Mondays or Wednesday evenings would be good days for me.
I have a idea for and Air Genasi Barbarian or a Teifling Paladin. Both have backstories and are ready to go.
I have been playing D&D for a few years. I have DM'd 2 games for my friends, but I have been dying to play as a PC for a while now... I have many character ideas, my favorite 2 as of right now is a death cleric (race is a mystery), and a human monk.
I am an older player. I have been playing since Advanced D&D (that's the 1st edition after original) was the new edition. I am available on Friday evenings after 5 pm, Saturdays between 6 am and 3 pm, and Sundays 2pm until 6 pm. All PST. I like to play multiclassed characters or single classed thieves, clerics, or druids. What I like most is groups built to compliment each other and who's background includes relationships between the characters, so I will usually make a character that fills in the holes after a few others are decided. I used to run quite a bit, but I am still learning all the rules of 5th edition. Due to all of the editions I have played its a lot to unlearn and relearn. I often have questions about how a rule works or about a ruling. I am perfectly willing to have such a discussion after an encounter is over or even outside of the game over discord chat during the week, so as to not disturb the game. Just keep in mind I am trying to learn how the game rules run as well as the reason for the rulings in those situation where the rules are vague. Thanks for your consideration.
Hi, I'm Scout. My pronouns are they/them. I have some experience with DnD but not a huge amount (I've been in a couple short-lived campaigns and have listened to some DnD podcasts). I'm 22. I have a few characters that are somewhat built but can be adapted if need be. One is a changeling warlock who's pact is their marriage vows to their patron. The other is an ex-slave drow paladin with a homebrew oath of the revolution who is very much all about justice and fighting oppression.

I have 2 years of experience. I mostly dm, but I want to be a player for a change. I am 19. I can play whenever except for Sunday and Thursday.
I usually make my character after examining the party and seeing what they need, but if I had to pick before hand. Drow elf rogue.
