Game: D&D 5e
Group type: Online, Discord for voice.
Experience: At least a little bit of experience playing. As we're high-level play, this is not appropriate for a total newbie. (I'll be starting another game soonish which is, however!)
Location/Timezone: I'm EST. You can be in any as long as you can reliably make the game.
Schedule: Every Saturday, 1pm EST.

Game style: Story tone errs on the side of serious. Heavily focused on RP, character development and relationships, and immersive storytelling, with combat where fitting. That said, we are semi-casual in play, and joke around a lot, too.

I run a long-term, high-level play game that has lost a couple of regular players due to schedule conflicts. I'm looking for 1 replacement player to round out to 4 players, but may consider 1 additional. This is a somewhat slow-burn story; we just had Session 25, and the group is still in the 1st plot arc, though at various places in their own personal story arcs. We use Milestone leveling, are currently at 12th level, and I fully plan for players to reach and play at level 20 enough to enjoy it before the story comes to completion.

About us: We're all somewhere in the Queer spectrum, so queer-friendly is the minimum; preferably, you're One Of Us™ tbh. We do have a guest player once in a blue moon as well. Some of us also deal with various disabilities, physical and/or mental, so patience and understanding is critical. We are all 18+ and while the game is not "Rated R" we prefer other players to also be 18+ for our own comfort.

Additionally, include a basic character concept. Their backstory must be logical for a 12th level character, and absolutely must be flexible enough for me to change to fit my homebrew setting, lore, deities, etc. I care more about the character than the mechanics, so focus on good character-building first and foremost. If you don't tell me about your idea, I won't be able to judge if they'll fit the group and you probably won't hear back from me, so don't be shy on these ideas.

1st idea: Grumpy old Mountain Dwarf Paladin, has a Mace of Disruption (Hopefully), was one of the defenders of the Keep of Kings, hopes to slay the Lich that conquered it and now uses it as his lair, has fond memories of Keep of Kings, recieved his Mace of Smiting when he was 50.

2nd idea: Eladrin rogue (Arcane Trickster), likes inventing spells, but they often backfire. Tells jokes a lot, stole a dagger from the thieves guildhouse and is now on the run.

Hello! I'm James but go by bacon. My pronouns are he, him and as to the being one of us thing I am pan sexual, my discord is baconking#9157. I am mainly a flex player and can be what the party needs but I was thinking I'd play a fighter that is similar to a spartan a real warrior his back story being that of a boy with a family and a seemingly nice life. Until his parents sell him to a noble to get themselves out of debt and he is trained from the age of 3 to be a warrior fighting in pits and arena's for others entertainment till he was 27 and fought his way to freedom by being the raining champion for ten years getting free to become a mercenary and see the world having forgot his hate for his parents long ago he wants to explore and expierence life! He would be a fighter human (though may change race) and would have a slave or soldier background maybe folk hero or far traveler depending on what part of his life he's at when he meets the party. I'm super looking forward to joining you and would love to talk on discord about character stuff more should you want me in your game! And I might have a friend who can join aswell!

Hello! My name is Teddy! My pronouns are he/him. I have two character ideas, one of which uses quite a bit of unearthed arcana which I was not sure you would allow but I figured I should mention anyways. 

Character 1: Pleurotus the Warforged Blood Hunter/Artificer: He is a warforged that was used by a demon for years to help torture people, primarily with alchemy, as he gains sentience like many warforged did he realizes the error of his ways and what he is doing is wrong. This causes him to rebel against his creator and run away. Depending on what you want to do we can say he has already defeated his creator or is still seeking to destroy him. A big part of his character is going to be trying to figure out where he fits in the world now that he knows his dark past and how the one who created him and essentially raised him is a bad person. He will strive to be a good person to make up for his past actions.

Character 2: Rolen Amakiir the High Elf Wizard/Bard: He grew up a noble, during his time he was a bit of a nerd, causing him to study magic and music both extensively. He wants to prove to the royal family that he can still be a worthy heir to the throne without being an amazing physical warrior. He is a bit socially awkward and gullible but he means extremely well. Overall, he's a dork.

Hi hello! My name is Hannah and my pronouns are she/her. I've been playing D&D 5e for 4.5 years now, which is bananas, and I tend to play more support based classes such as druid and cleric, but I'm comfortable going anywhere depending on the needs of the party. I have a lot of different character ideas bouncing around in my head, but these are some of the ones I've really loved recently! 

Character 1: Meet Bethrynna Galanodel (Beth to most), a high elf druid, specializing in Circle of the Moon. Beth's father was not particularly kind towards magic users except those that showed promise with the magic of the gods. When Beth, at the tender age of 80, started to manifest magical abilities that related more to nature, she was terrified. With the help of her twin brother Illyrian, Beth managed to escape the castle grounds and ran as fast as her feet could carry her. She was eventually found and raised by a community of beast-folk living deep in the woods surrounding her father's kingdom. It was there that her magic flourished, that she found friendship in the hawk Tiarnan, and that she calls home, despite the voice in the back of her mind that her home her people, and most importantly her brothers (twin Illyrian, middle brother Theric and youngest brother Valen) need her so that the reign of a father that she now knows benefits nobody but himself can finally come to an end. (It's worth mentioning that I have played Beth before in a previous campaign, which brought her up to Level 10, so I have a very good understanding of her character. She is a bisexual character). 

And in case Beth isn't vibing with you, allow me to introduce you to....

Character 2: Asterin, a Protector Aasmiar cleric, specifically in the domain of War. Asterin has only known a life of war. Taken from her parents at a young age by another aasimar, while other young girls learned to sew pretty patterns onto pillows and dance, Asterin learned how to defend herself with both her fists and a sword, with her healing proficiencies appearing when she was twelve years old. From there she learned to sew wounds together, the best remedies to heal burns, and more. She was a battlefield medic for many years after being annointed into the army of the gods, until one day when everything went wrong - the woman she fell in love with, Olympia, died on the battlefield, with Asterin arriving too late. After, Asterin was furious, demanding to know the reasoning behind why such a, in her opinion, foolish choice was made by her superiors before the battle began. Due to her insolence, she was stripped of her rank and outcasted from the only family she's ever known, told to go through the world on her own to see exactly what it was that she was defending. That is where we meet her, hoping that one day her work will be noticed by those that banished her and that she might one day be welcomed home. (I've also played Asterin before, and though only getting to Level 6, I have played clerics at higher levels. Asterin is a gay character.)

Character Concept -
A Wood Elf UA Ranger (Beast Master), named Jal'Heria Ka'Tesh.  Jal'Heria is young for an Elf at 80.  She's shy, and slightly socially awkward having spent the majority of her life among the creatures of the woods.  She's the type of individual to be uncomfortable in a crowded city, and confused by some of the social customs she encounters.  Jal'Heria is ever flanked by a friendly, and very protective Runt Direwolf (just for flavour, stats are based off a Wolf) Teesia, a mixture of speckled brow and white fur.  Jal'Heria is out in the world, having left behind an oppressive family whom had power / influence in an notable Elvish city, she now seeks her own path.  Wandering, she found refuge in the woods, her first love.  And, while she is an Elf, ironically she has spent more time among various groups of Dwarf traders whom traveled the woods she called home since.  She speaks and writes Dwarvish, as well as Elvish and Common because of those interactions.  (There's a lot more to Jal'Heria's story, but I don't want to get too wordy in a post, I would be happy to discuss / provide something more long-form if needed.)

My Name is Jayden I am fairly new to DnD but understand nearly everything, I would be playing as an elf who has been running from his family for over a decade and has been  trying to help others, which is one of the reasons he became a ranger, his alignment is Lawful/neutral and he get's along well with almost anyone. I am wondering if there is an age cut off as I am under 18 (over 15) and have had problems with this in the past
