if a Gi is homebrewed and has a bonus to a/c would it be considered Armor?

Not sure what Gi stands for but if it grants a bonus to AC, it should stack with Unarmored Defense just fine if it's what you ask for.

 Oh i see yeah i'd consider this more as clothing than armor in this case.

 It's also a relatively modern thing; historical martial artists would have worn clothes appropriate for their location and situation. (For instance, practitioners of Shaolin Kung Fu likely dressed as Shaolin monks.)

I'm more familiar with the french term kimono 😂
