Access to the forums has been restored after last week’s site outages. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
What Happened? As many of you reported on January 1st, D&D Beyond began to experience periods of extreme slowness as well as 500 and 504 errors across multiple areas of the site. While investigating the incident, we identified an issue with the Forums that was causing an impact to site performance.
In the interest of minimizing impact to users playing D&D over the weekend, we decided to leave the Forums disabled until today while we continued to investigate the issue. We apologize for the impact this had on your games and for the interruption in discussion this caused.
As of today, we are still working to identify the root cause of the issue but feel comfortable restoring access to the Forums at this time. Should this occur again, we will prioritize play-focused features of the site, including Maps VTT and our Character experiences, and the Forums may be temporarily disabled again.

Thanks for the follow up. On the flip side, with the forum down, that's left only Discord for you to worry about. Sort of a mini vacation.
