For instance for khyber crystals, the core rule book offers 8 potential sources/type of Khyber beyond the Khyber found in Jedha in the movies and the crystals found on Illum/Starkiller base in Clone Wars and Fallen Order (I forget when it's canonically specified that Illum is Starkiller Base). The one that got me to react "WTH?" but then considered, "ok, that's actually pretty cool" is Krayt Dragon Pearls. Krayt Dragons ingest quite a lot of sand and rock on Tattooine, occasionally some of what they ingest includes Khyber, Krayt's digestive juices usually pulverize the dirt and rock, but khyber isn't broken down and instead undergo a pearling effect. If harvested, these pearls can be used in lightsabers creating a stronger blade with boosted damage and critical ratings in game terms as well as grants the lightsaber sort of "talents" called Breach, Sunder and Vicious.
What I'm wondering is are Krayt Dragon pearls as lightsaber suitable khyber something that popped up in SW lore or is this just something FFG had the license to make up?
Any of the Jedi in the movies or Clone Wars have one (Krayt Dragon Pearl) or are they more like Knights of the Old Republic legendary? Like the sort of stone you'd use for the Darksaber?

That Boba Fett vs Cad Bane encounter would be cool for Season Two, however I can't help but wonder if they'll move a bit away from bounty hunting soon.
You might be right, but I think sort of like Clone Wars you'll have Bounty Hunter arcs, I mean there are two things we know that evolved during the rise of the Empire: The Empire, and the Underworld (including Bounty Hunters). Maybe there are reasons you don't see the Pikes much after Clone Wars, etc. And it seems Bad Batch is doing the legwork to flesh that out (I mean really besides the Empire and underworld, I suppose the show could look at the Corporate Sector and banking areas, sort of Canto Blite riff that the really rich and powerful lived disconnected from the whole saga going on.
Whether they pay as much attention to Bounty Hunters (though I think it's likely for what follows in this comment) or not in a subsequent season, an encounter with Boba Fett I feel is inevitable given that he is Alpha to Omega, so basically the long lost technically older brother of the Batch. To do a typical "let's explain it all at once" Star Wars swoop, maybe we'll get Tobias Becket and the circumstances of his responsibility for Aurra Sing's death for extra "Star Wars is all connected" yada. But I think Boba's a definite ... and just thinking out loud having Fett in Bad Batch gives some story room for why Boba Fett might find a near dead Shan on Tattooine, get her guts cybernetically replaced (likely either expensive and or requiring a lot of markers called in), and team up. Shriv Suurgav is in the Last Jedi novel, and in Resistance Reborn though.

In honor Labor Day here in the U.S., if you were not part of the Jedi Council, or involved in the great struggles of the Galaxy, what would your regular job be in Star Wars? I've come up with a few ideas, choose from them or create your own occupation essential to keeping the Republic or Empire or Order running (no Jedi, military, bounty hunters or other blaster slingers, just regular day jobs where you punch a clock and either go see your family or hang out in the Cantina after work):
Moisture Farmer
Cantina Keeper
Shipyard Worker (building)
Scrapyard Worker (dismantling)
Death Stick distributor
Food farmer/rancher (could be land based or ocean based)
Starship/Speeder/Droid repair shop
Bespin (or Coruscant or similar) Air Traffic Control
Canto Bight Casino worker
Musician or Dancer
Ancient Temple caretaker/custodion
Wookie carpenter
Starship or speeder planetary or galactic registry worker
Docking/Landing Bay attendant
Podracing commentator
Tailor/clothing fabricator
Medical field
Education
Government functionary
Corporate sector functionary
Food production/ Ronto roaster
Spaceport dock worker, loading/unloading
Droid supervisor
I'm thinking something in the blue/green dairy beverage representative business myself.
I'm stoked. I don't watch SW trailers, to avoid spoilers, but all of them seem good. Hey, are you new to the cult? You can join.
I am, indeed, new, and would like to join. And consider myself a huge star wars fan (though my Old Republic lore is lacking :(
Huge clone wars fan, played through fallen order, as well as the starkiller games. I know most of the delta squad and omega squad stuff, and I enjoy the books for those.
I will say, I'm not a huge fan of the prequels, but episode three is highly memable, and has a fantastic story. I love episode's 4-6, 7 is meh, 8 is worse, and 9 is horrible (I will die on this hill). Not a huge mandalorian fan, but I loved bad batch

To be honest, didn't like Mandalorian. As someone who is a fan of the original lore, the character bored me, as he was very one dimsensional. In comparison to other recent Disney feats, like Wandavision and Loki, I was not impressed.
Given that disappointment, combined with the flop of episode 9, I was skeptical of the book of Boba Fett, but am less so now that I'm hearing this rumor I am more excited. Bane's appearance in the Bad Batch was awesome, Though I'm also not as big a fan of the female bounty hunter, so I'll be interested to see what they do with her. As far as Duros life spans go, I don't think that will stop them, for two reasons. One, Cad Bane is one of the only Duros is the canon universe that we see, and definitely the only one that features prominently, so we really don't have a standard to judge on their life spans. and two, this is Disney we're talking about. They have millions of dollars in their budget, so they can basically do whatever they want.

You don't need Old Republic lore, as it's all legends, unless you mean the new High Republic stuff.
I think 9 is the best of the sequels, though. Is fallen order good? I read the comic book, but haven't played the game.
Fallen order is pretty dope. Cameron Monaghan is really good (voice actor and animation for Cal Kestis). I've never read the comic tho.
The reason I hate 9 (I kind of liked it walking out of theater, but here's why:
The whole "dagger-map" plot is freaking stupid. Why did a wreck that happened years ago somehow correspond with an even older dagger?
Why the whalloping wiffleballs is Sideous back? they just did it to link Rey with him
Why is Poe being called a spice runner even though his back story has already been established as the son of rebel fighters ( they just did it to make him the new Han Solo)
Why does Rey suddenly have insande Jedi powers? (they just needed to make a character automatically overpowered to compensate)
Why is Rey a skywalker and a sideous (they needed an explanation as to why she's so powerful)
There are more things wrong with it but I haven't seen it in a while. Watch any breakdown video of it on Youtube, trust me
It's all really rushed, the plot is all over the place, and the whole movie is just not good
Excuse my rant but I've had so many conversations about this movie before that I've come to just automatically hate i. All in good fun :)

For the question about Poe, Poe Dameron: Free Fall explains that. He grew up on Yavin 4, but left because he was bored, and joined up with the Spice Runners.
Second, Rey's powers weren't sudden, they took a year to develop. This was also a year of relative calm, unlike Luke, who spent his time moving base to base, and fighting the Empire.
I'm loving this discussion, it's good to know people have opinions.
Okay, actually didn't know about the first one, that's fair. The only reason I said Rey was sudden is because she goes from a farm girl to a full power level jedi, rivaling almost any other, in actually less than a year. Remeber, she fights and wins against Ren by the end of the movie, having held a lightsaber for what, a few days? She beats Kylo ren, who has been training for yeeeaaaarrs longer than she has. It's just really forced ( pun intended). Whereas Luke, in his first Sith encounter, doesn't beat Vader, and from what we've seen, isn't equipped to. Throughout the movies he has to master the force and his emotions, much like his father Anakin, and finally defeats Vader at the end (who then defeats Sidious who kills Vader, etc, etc)

I mean, he is played like an edgy teenager, but in terms of actual power level, he is one of the better Sith of that time period. His instability (with his lightsaber and his powers) is really a part of who he is. I definitely agree that the fight wasn't easy for either, and that's the problem. Rey shouldn't have been whupped, but she should have been beaten at the very least.

EDIT: sorry to triple post

I think Kylo Ren is more like an edgy teenager than a Sith Lord and it isn't like her fight with him was easy for either of them.
The Circle of Hedgehogs Druid Beholder/Animated Armor Level -20 Bard of the OIADSB Cult, here are our rules. Sig. Also a sauce council member, but it's been dead for a while.
