I vaguely remember Cobalt Squadron, but it was years ago. Was that the one where they used the StarFortress bomber for a supply drop? Also, has anyone else read Aftermath? I didn't like it all that much except for Hux's origin.
I actually own cobalt squadron, but I haven't read aftermath
I've read both. Aftermath was the adult novel in the journey to force awakens publishing line, cobalt squadron was the YR for Journey to the last jedi.
I know
Off topic, anyone ever read the Republic Commando novels by Karen traviss?

Are the republic commando books still canon? I thought they're legends.
I think they are legends, which were part of the "old cannon". I don't know if legends specifically is cannot or not but I strongly doubt it, especially since episodes 7-9 came out. Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't follow the comics or stuff like that too closely

Legends is anything that came out before early 2014, except, Clone Wars, Episodes 1-6, and one short story for some reason. Legends isn't canon, it's an entirely different storyline. Let's try to keep most discussion in Canon, or else it's super confusing.
Legends was cannon, before 2014 as you said. The question was whether or not it was cannon, but I see your point. Legends is technically a different storyline, but it fit with the star wars universe until the new stuff came along, so it's not completely random or anything. I'll try to keep it cannon in the future, or at least as cannon a possible :)
Aside from boba fett what other project are we expecting from star wars in the next few years? I know they have a lot of work on the MCU but star wars hasn't seen much since mandalorian, so I'm curious
The andor, obi wan and I think asoka shows
I think their going to do either a movie or tv show for Cassian Andor - can't wait for that one.
EDIT: Actually I just looked it up, and its a tv series coming out sometime in the next year.
Does anyone other than Obi-Wan and Palpatine know anything about the battle on Mustafar?
Pretty sure Yoda knew. From then to EP IV-VI they spent a lot of time hermitting, in communion with the Living Force as Qui Gon taught them how to transcend death in a way few "modern" Jedi prior to Qui-Gon had known possible. Yoda knew the truth of the twins parentage, and knew the origins of Vader, so what happened on Mustafahr probably became known to Yoda if Obi Wan didn't outright tell him.
Bail Organa. Pretty sure he knew. He provided the original secret medical aid station that delivered Padme's children as "she lost the will to live" <ahem>. It's pretty plausible when Obi Wan explains he had rescued Bail's valued colleague from Anakin's rage, well, Bail's a smart guy and could probably do the math. He might have had his people check Kenobi/Padme's ships nav computer too while performing maintenance. There's a sort of shrewdness he exhibits in the Ahsoka novel that wouldn't put doing that sort of double checking even on allies past him, I mean he orders 3p0 and R2 wiped for a reason (whether or not that suceeded on R2 is a matter of head canon).
Owen Lars(?) Not sure on this one, and Behru definitely has a more romanticized "brash warrior" understanding of Owen's half brother, but Owen seems to have a resentment toward him and all "the father in him" Behru says Luke has in spades. I'm thinking at minimum Owen is aware that Luke poses a danger (from the Empire, maybe his Force legacy) via whatever Obi Wan told him.
Of course, Bail and Lars would have no reason to know Anakin survived Mustafar. I'm thinking of that Palpatine, Yoda and Obi-Wan are likely the only folks who really know that. I know some of the fiction suggests Thrawn either figured it out or was real close to doing so. I imagine some folks who tend to Vader in Castle Vader on Mustfar, might have known, as well as some of Palpatine's inner circle (didn't the comics just do one where Sly Moore is positioned as someone who may be "in the know").

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
I liked Visions. The only one that was sorta flat was "Twins," and that was largely because the double Star Destroyer kinda brought my head back to worst parts of the old EU / Legends ("It's not just a blaster, it's a double blaster... just put two Star Destroyers together", and I know, I know Darth Maul's lightsaber and Starkiller Base both indicate the powers that be never really learned from that). I think though to really like Visions, you have to have a good grounding in Anime to appreciate what they were doing. Someone really was put off by To-B1 complaining that "it didn't even look like anime" so I had to show them Astroboy to show that it indeed not only look like anime, but some of the earliest anime. I'm by no means hard core on anime, but there was a lot of "ah, I see what you're doing there" type stuff.
Duel and The Elder were probably my favorites. I liked the one with the Harengon.
I think part of it also that it was clear, to me at least, that these weren't so much parts of current Star Wars canon but mixing Star Wars and anime tropes to tell the sorts of stories Star Wars usually tells. I don't think this style of program is going to "take over" Star Wars animation, but I wouldn't mind seeing more takes like this, like maybe make an annual or every two year anthology of it or something.

Duel and the Elder were by far the best. For me, the best episodes in the show were the one that were equal parts star wars and anime, so some good from both. Wasn't a fan of the one with the rabbit girl, mainly because it felt like anime with stormtroopers until the last 2 minutes (that being said, those last two minutes were AWESOME). Other than that, I like it. The different art styles were cool to see

The Duel and The Ninth Jedi were probably the best for me. I also really liked the rest of them, except for perhaps "The Twins" (mostly because it was too hard to actually figure out what was going on, and a few other things). I just loved the different art styles and the way they handled the plot.

Ok tbh I kinda liked the duel, the village bride, the elder, and maaaaaybe akikiri. I wasn't angry that it wasn't anime, most of it just didn't strike me as star wars. I had a really hostile reaction at first, but it was more of a mixed bag than I expected.

Announced on investor day by Disney were the projects:
Rangers of the New Republic: A sequel series to the Mandalorian
The Asohka Series: Which was described as another spinoff of the Mandalorian
The Acolyte: a mystery-thriller set in the High Republic's final days, exploring the sinister secrets of an emerging Dark Side power.
The Lando Series: (Probably going to be my favorite) a series about Lando.
Droid Story: Animated series about R2, C3P0, and an unknown third hero
Rogue Squadron: 2023, a movie about fighter pilots
And finally, Star Wars: Visions which has already come out. I'm kind of ticked about this one...
