A man in plate armor rides up the path to the tavern on a giant goat, its horns adorned with bells. He hops off upon reaching the front door, and leads the goat out to the front yard, where it can graze. He walks into the tavern, doffs his helmet, and sits at the bar. He has brown-blonde hair streaked with grey that continues from his ears all the way down to a chin beard, piercing green eyes, and an impish nose. A solitary golden earring hangs from his left ear.
Harper looks up from his journal and smiles, closing the small writing book and walking over. he waves and smiles. "Hey there!" he said cheerfully.
"Hallo," said the man, waving back. He then ordered a couple of coffees, adding something white from a flask to both. He sits down at Harper's table and offers him the other coffee.
Harper looks at the coffee cup then raised an eyebrow. "What did you put in it?" he asked and tilted his head, moving aside so the man could sit down.
"Honey and goat's milk" he tosses Harper the container. "Look for yourself, I tend to like a bit in with my coffee." The man takes a long sip of his drink.
Harper sniffs the opening of the container. He shrugs nd sets it down, drinking his coffee, registering the taste. "pretty good" he said and chuckled
The man chuckles. "You should thank Ingol out in the yard, she makes it for me."
"your goat makes it?" He asked and smiled "seems nice or 'er". As he drank the remnants of his drink he stuck out a bandage-covered hand "I'm Harper! Harper Lee" He said
"Nice to meet you, I'm Nathan Combshaker." He takes another sip of his coffee.

Harper stood up and sighed "Ill pay for our lunch considering you payed for coffee" he said and smiled

He nods and comes back 5 minutes later with two sandwich's wrapped in wax paper. it has Ham, lettuce, cheddar cheese, bacon, and onions. Harper nonchalantly bites into his own,
Nathan looks down at his sandwich with a hungry smile and takes a bite out of it.
Harper chuckles "Careful, your gonna loose one of your fingers like that" he said, and wiped his own mouth
Nathan nods and slows down a bit. He sighs contentedly and doffs his breastplate, leaving only the greaves of his armor on.

"Odd jobs, here and there, wherever I can find work."
"telling by the armor, though I could be wrong, were you a paladin?" He askes
"Was, still am to some extent." he sips his coffee. "Had a change of heart when my oath dictated I burn down an orphanage."
Harper seemed to choke on his sandwich a bit "this is why I will never be a paladin. I'm fine being a Ranger" he said
"People become paladins for different reasons. For me it was revenge. Thus, I broke my oath when it turned bad. There are plenty of other oaths that can be sworn that are immensely less likely to lead you down a dark path."

"Definitely not, starting with the fact that I've already sold my soul, secondary to that is the fact that I'm already dead."
Azazel sighed and placed his hands on his hips "the soul you have is not your's but is still food to me" he said, as if he was clarifying that to a child
"I doubt the entity would like to share my soul."
