Lazarus walks over, debating something. "Hello. Who might you be?"
*Lol no, I put that in as a joke, I'm Steve. I was making a reference to the Ship of Theseus dilemma and the satyr currently in the tavern, also named Theseus.*
*Well now I feel silly. Can we start over?*
*No worries, and yes, we can start over.*
Lazarus walks over to Matle. "Hello. Who might you be?"
"Malte, a lost knight, and yourself?"
"Similar. An oathbreaker named Lazarus. How goes it?"
"Strangely, it goes strangely. I thought for sure my order would be after me, thirsty for blood, but no, here I sit, a day's journey away, while they futilely scour the countryside. I don't think I'm anywhere near to Abydos as I originally surmised."
"Mmm... One might guessed you passed through a portal. Do you need protection?"
He scoffs, "Protection is unnecessary, Kavravos watches over me, his judgment will determine my fate, which I will accept with a smile on my face and a song on my lips. Still, what is it you mean by a portal?"
"A... Doorway between the realms of reality... You are spiritual?" He says, a tad bit worried
"Realms of reality? This is... strange... as I said. As for being spiritual, I suppose you would call it that."
"What path of belief do you follow?"
"That is an altogether unusual question, I am a holy knight of Kavravos, He-That-Decides, Light-In-The-Shroud if that answers your question."

..Here.. She carefully takes out a yellowed and aged script.
"No! Let's do this..."
Gwen cleans it with magic, lays out a cloth, and opens the pages with mage hand. "Who gave you this?"
"[Sigh] sure." Raphael let's them go first

Yeah! We have people over all the time!

Cool. Can you take me there now or do I have to ask your dad?

"I haven't been able to stand the silence since. Kavravos struck me with a fervor, and his words, his rebuttal of their crimes, flowed from my mouth like holy water. Terrified, they plotted my assassination. I killed their assassin with my fire iron." he stares out at the horizon. "That will be the last life I take for a while, I hope.
"Mmm... I see." They say, about to comfort him via putting his hand on the cursader's shoulder, but stops himself. "I understand. I have been through similar things. That naturally doesn't make your memories less just.... There are similar souls out there."
“I’m sure there are, man has an unfortunate tendency to turn away from the truth.”

This is ItsNotAChest’s alternate, so no some random psychopath hasn’t stolen their storylines/posts. Or maybe I did. Who knows…
I am what happens when you write character concepts on a spice high
I have an original copy of Mordenkainen's Treatise on the Intimate Workings of the Multiverse!
"No!"
This peaks Gwen's interest. Mmm... May I see?
"Fine, but then you might want to surrender." They say, taking the form of a Deva. "Ready?"
...If you're careful with it...
"Oh... -[gulp]- OK..."
I hoard knowledge and books, why wouldn't I be?
"You want to do this later?"
..Here.. She carefully takes out a yellowed and aged script.
"No! Let's do this..."
Gwen cleans it with magic, lays out a cloth, and opens the pages with mage hand. "Who gave you this?"
"[Sigh] sure." Raphael let's them go first
*It's clean and in good shape, just old.* Lumen watches with curiosity. I found it in my dad's library!
Make a Con save.
i see... they say, with a tinge of sadness. Do you think I might visit some day?
25
Yeah! We have people over all the time!
*Sorry meant Dex, but passes anyways.* No damage because of tavern. A wave of corrosive frost washes past Raphael, but he avoids the majority with his save.
Cool. Can you take me there now or do I have to ask your dad?
Raphael sighs, flies over, transforms into an anaconda, preparing to grapple the youngling
I mean, I don't know how to get back...
Roll grapple?
lets ask your father, okay?
12
Ready now?
*stasis actives*
*Yep.*
Sure!
Gwen nods, carefully giving the book back to the dragon, before walking over to Phantom.
To Lumen: You want to talk or me?
Lumen carefully takes the book back and starts bounding over to Phantom, grinning.
You Can! She says cheerfully.
Okay.
"So, Mr. Phantomizakell, I, as previously discussed, am interested in visiting your hoard and your daughters hoard... And... Well... Sooner rather then later?" The shy emerald half dragon says, visions of ancient books floating through her head

Phantom chuckles. "First, Phantom, or Phantomizakell, if you're feeling formal. Second, sure. I'll teleport the three of us to the lair. Follow me." He gets up off the couch and heads outside the tavern, Lumen bounding after him, still holding the book, maybe slightly harder than she should.

"That is an altogether unusual question, I am a holy knight of Kavravos, He-That-Decides, Light-In-The-Shroud if that answers your question."
Hi, I am not a chest. I deny with 100% certainty that I am a chest. I can neither confirm nor deny what I am beyond that.
I used to portray Krathian, Q'ilbrith, Jim, Tara, Turin, Nathan, Tench, Finn, Alvin, and other characters in various taverns.
I also do homebrew, check out my Spells and Magic Items
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange eons, even death may die"
*Sure...I'll try my best...probably not the best at playing child characters, but we'll see.*
"What would of been a better question then?"

*Yep...I remember being a kid, although even with ADHD, I was a less excitable than most.*
"Heretics. Or so I thought. Myrmaiam was a town a ways east of the holy city. We marched out, planning to launch an attack and wipe out the heretics that resided within the city, godless folk who had no right to walk the soil. However, we punished the faithful, the innocent, along with the heretics. There were women, children, dying of hunger in Myrmaiam. We sacked the city at the end, burning their homes and cutting them down as they fled the fire's insatiable hunger, devouring all that they knew and loved. And at the end it was silent, deathly silent." He hugs himself, a haunted look on his eyes as he shudders, sending the bells on his hat and armor jangling furiously. "I haven't been able to stand the silence since. Kavravos struck me with a fervor, and his words, his rebuttal of their crimes, flowed from my mouth like holy water.
