He pulls out a small, smooth stone and grips it in his palm. "Im going to need your power" he whispers to it as the stone melds into his skin. He skin begins to toughen and turn in a rocky hide that give him protection (Investiture of Stone). Then, as a bonus action, he is going to cast Shield on Phoenix. Glowing wisps of light wrap around Phoenix as it does.
