Timber doesn't respond, as he starts to cough up some blood

Avery speeds up his treck

The tavern comes into view, and timber is violently coughing up blood. You can see Galax on the porch

"GALAX," Avery yells, running at him, "I REQUIRE HEALING"

"What's going on?" Galax asks, looking confused

"TIMBER WAS ATTACKED BY A HOODED DUDE!" He says, gasping for air as he stops infront of galax, out of breath, "They might d-die if we don't heal them"

"Calm down Avery, let me look at them"

Avery is fidgety as he hands the tabaxi over

Galax lies timber down on a table, before taking a look at their wounds. After a short examination, Galax waves Avery over "got some good news, and I got some bad news" he says as he starts bandaging the wounds

He nods, "Ok, good news first"

"They're going to survive. The bad news is that they were attacked by a vampire, and I'm not sure what the effects will be of that. Best I can do right now is to bandage him and hope for the best"

As timber tries to get up, his knees buckle and he collapses to the ground again

Avery carefully picks up the tabaxi, carrying him back to the inn

On the walk back, timber lapses in and out of consciousness, muttering things about bats and mist and such

"Hey, its gonna be ok, you'll be fine." Avery smiles, trying to be comforting despite his panic
