Ternikus merely eyes them and waits for the ghost announcer to ring the bell.

The champion sidesteps the axe swing, before swiflty throwing four punches at ternikus:

Sylvan sits down next to him, with a plate of grilled moon groupers in his hand. He hands this plate to Timber.
All your attacks hit, but Ternikus gets back up and slices a piece of paper (DC 25 con save. fail and you lose all movement and can't take an action until you succeed a DC 20 con check) followed by a sudden burst of rage and another swing with his blood axe. He doesn't have disadvantage any more because his subclass prevents him from getting disadvantage while raging.
