An elf walks through the door and into the tavern, this wouldn't have been so strange if the elf had opened the door before walking through it. But instead, the elf had passed through the door as if it wasn't there. Now, this would make many people think that the elf was ethereal or insubstantial. Maybe the elf wasn't entirely there, so the door posed no hindrance to the spirit. On the contrary, the elf appeared to be more there than anything else in the tavern, except maybe Death. The elf appeared so real, that the door didn't exist compared to him. The elven creature walked into the center of the room with unnatural grace. He was terrible to look upon, his beauty scarring, yet you couldn't look away. His hair was long, and shone like gold, his eyes were as bright and blinding as the sun, his skin was fair and more unblemished than fresh, untouched snow. Shadows fled from his presence, seeking shelter in places of darkness far from here, or in Death's cloak. It almost hurt to look upon the graceful form, yet you couldn't look away. Something seemed wrong about him, his beauty was not of this world, it was supernatural. The elf stood in the center of the tavern and looked upon the occupants with a gaze as soft as iron and as burning as ice.
Ternikus takes one look and says, “You a god of bursary or something?”
The otherworldly being looks upon them. They laugh, a sound as powerful and overwhelming as a tsunami and as lilting as bird song. They speak in their supernatural voice which causes the heart to quake and the soul to shiver in both delight and terror, "NO, I AM NO GOD. I AM MERELY A HERALD. THIS TAVERN HAS WITNESSED MANY STRANGE AND MIGHTY BEINGS, BUT I COME TO FORETELL THE ARRIVAL OF A... GUEST, WHO HAS SEEN MORE THAN IS REVEALED TO THE EYE OF MAN, LISTENED TO MORE THAN SHOULD BE HEARD BY THE EAR OF MAN, AND DONE MORE THAN MOST MEN CAN DREAM OF DOING. HE WILL SOON ARRIVE, SEEKING SHELTER FOR HIS WEARY BONES. ACCEPT HIM UNDER THIS ROOF, AND HE WILL GIFT THEE WITH TREASURES OF NO EQUAL VALUE, AND RECOUNT TO THEE THE TALES OF HIS MANY YEARS." The elf pauses, allowing the words of magic to wash over you, before nodding and turning away. Every candle, every flame in the tavern flares skywards and shines with golden light. In a flash of pure radiance, the elf is gone. Leaving no trace of his arrival. The shadows flood back into the room, and everything in the tavern feels dull and empty compared to the glory that once illuminated its features.

“Darn smug celestials.” Alexandria mutters after pausing in the middle of a song to hear what they said.
Walks in and sits at a table. "Do you get many visitors like that here? I was thinking this was a nice quiet place."
“Honestly, i don’t know. I haven’t been here for that long. But Angels and stuff can be annoying, always thinking they know what’s best. Anyways, how are you doing?”

Sylvan approaches with a plate of food. “No, we get plenty of abnormal guests here. I am friends with death, who enjoys watching mortals ‘live their day here’. I also have to keep stopping a demon from stealing everyone’s souls.” He then throws a silver knife in the direction of Alastir as a warning shot.

" Ahh, I see. I must have missed the previous guests. Name is Connall by the by."

"They took a bear to the kitchen the other eve. I've been hoping they would get it dressed out. I'd like a steak, or at least a meat pie from it."

“Oh. You are speaking of the owlbear. What do you think this meal is made out of?” He puts the plate down in front of him. The first thing you notice is a large rectangular slab of cooked meat. It is drizzled by red honey and has a couple of strange leaves placed on it.
