"Thank you, sir, madame, or other. Are you able to explain why you have come to this place specifically, or was it just happenstance?"
"W-What are you?" The boy askes and tilts his head.
It shakes its head and continues to stare at Lester.
"I am the Abyss. I am a monster. But I am a friendly one."
Lester puts on a pair of shaded goggles and looks at the sun. "Is there something special about this place? Or is it just a good place to enjoy the sun?"
"O-oh.." he said and blinked.
The colorful flower mask only stares back, suddenly growing closer and closer.
"Thank you very much, Flint." It removes its mask, revealing black flesh with a spiraling mouth going all the way to the center, lined with small human teeth. Its "face" unravels into a whip and coils around the fake Butcher's head, pulling it into the Abyss' hood. After some horrible, horrible noises, the Butcher stops struggling. He falls to the ground, his pig mask destroyed and blood running from his eyes and mouth. There are no wounds on the giant man's head or face.
"It is a sad thing. Humanity wiped out both him and his children. The God of my world raised me from their corpses, making me the last true monster to walk the earth."
'When I said defend yourself, I didn't mean.. oh well. He didn't seem like a nice guy'
The Abyss puts its mask back on.
"He had decided that destroying me was his purpose, and he had nearly killed my poor, innocent son. He had certainly tried to do so. I'm sure he had plenty of good in his heart, but sometimes that isn't enough to save someone."
'I suppose not. Would you count yourself as Good?'
"I would not. I would say that I am unaligned, or, more accurately, used to be. I believe that I forsook that status when I chose to seek out interaction with the world. I would say that I am Neutral, as I always take any side that asks for my help, even if it opposes another side that also asks."
'I guess some could say we're all Neutral. Others would say that Neutral is simply a misnomer for passive Evil. But I don't like to think about where that would lead us'

"I believe all mortals that think for themselves have at least some evil in their hearts. However, they also have some good in their hearts. I try to wipe out the former while preserving the latter, but I cannot act on another without their consent, and most creatures dislike having something removed from them, even if it is harmful."
'I guess that's the best way for it to be. A world without free will would hardly be one worth living, even if it was technically Utopia'
"I don't fear free will, only the sin nature of most thinking creatures. If I could remove that, I think the world would be better. Acceptance would thrive and people would treat each other as equals, and help out those who need it. That is my vision of a utopia."
"O-oh.." he said and blinked.
