So spend your hours on What you think I've done wrong I know I'm in your mind I've been here way too long I want to spend my life With those who've done me right Your heart is frozen over I'm a four-leaf clover
"Roscoe" seems confused for a second, the gears spinning in his head. Then it clicks.
"I'm sorry. It sounds like your stepfather was a good man."
"Yes. He was." They take out a jug of chocolate milk in his memory
"Anything I can do for you?"
"I have something." He reaches into his coat, and after some sounds of fabric ripping, he pulls out a little music box, seemingly removed from a toy at some point.
"My little sister Anne gave this to me before I lost her forever. It always makes me feel better to listen to it. Maybe it'll do the same for you, fluffy one."
He winds it up. A simplified version of "In The Hall of The Mountain King" plays on it.
"... I dislike that you're treating me like a child. but thank you."
Someone points a camera at her from the shadows of the rafters
Shade ruffles her wings and turns, "Do you want me to throw this book at you?" holds up the novel they're reading
Whoever they are, they don't respond, though they do move backwards more
Shade throws the book
It squarel smacks this person, a girl voice letting out a slight yelp at being hit, the camera dropping the floor below and cracking, "Awwww," The voice says, seemingly looking down at their broken camera
Shade stares down, "Shoot, sorry. I'll get that." swoops down to grab it and then back up, "Um... Know mending?"
The girl, a young half elf with short brown hair and iridescently colored eyes shakes her head, rubbing her face where the book hit her

*You are a child kinsley :)*
"I WILL BITE YOU!"
*Try me, i am physically above you because children are short!*
The girl, a young half elf with short brown hair and iridescently colored eyes shakes her head, rubbing her face where the book hit her
"Okay, now that I know you're just a kid I feel bad. You okay?"
She nods, 'Y-yeah, i don't think anythings too broken. W-well, besides my camera."
Shade looks worried, "Okay, well. Maybe I can get you a new one. Did this have sentimental value?"
"It was my mom's." She nods, holding back tears,
"Frick, um, uh." Shade portals away and comes back with a scroll moments later, "Mending, let's try that." tries that
make a.... imma say int check, just straight int, to understand the mechanics. Not too hard, since its not extremely broken, but a fall from the rafters messed it up

*Nice*
She's able to use the scroll to mend together the broken bits, and since no glass actually fell out, she fixes the lense and screen aswell
(gtg. I'll be on in a couple of hours or so)
So spend your hours on
What you think I've done wrong
I know I'm in your mind
I've been here way too long
I want to spend my life
With those who've done me right
Your heart is frozen over
