'I said that you could do it. I brought this upon myself. I guess I'd better get out of here before the town guard finds out, stow away on a wagon or something. Uhhh, all the rats. They all died, didn't they? I killed them all'

"the rats are pretty sturdy. one managed to survive the blast. i saw it run past me"

(Flint reappears at the edge of town. A humaniod werewolf is asleep in the shadows)

'Hey there, um, what just happened?'

Longtooth lifts his head. "wha? who the (gp) are you?!"

'The name's Flint. Did we just go back in time?'

"nice to meet you Flint. what in the underdark are you yapping about?"

'We were in the sewer, you collapsed it, my home was destroyed, and then you turned back time'

When he’s finished picking carrots he grabs a few more things, flicking his wrist and making eggs appear in his hand as he walks to the kitchen “Stare all you want sweetheart.” He says swaying with every step.

 "I'm gonna" She says with mischief in her eyes as she follows.

 He walks into the kitchen, and begins to make a cake while she focuses on his.

Eventually, she ceases her deviant activity, more focused on his eyes whenever they are in view. As before, she rests her elbows on the counter and her chin in her paws, lost in the way he cooks.

 His eyes, despite being grey and empty feel full of life and passion, maybe a reflection of what is left of his soul. He moves like someone who doesn’t want to do anything else, like this is what he lives for as he goes, a soft smile on his face.

 "You smile when you cook... you smile when you water your veggies... you even smiled after you fell asleep in my lap... it feels so good to see you smile..."

 “When you do what you love you can’t help but smile. I may have a life that’s ending but I’ve learned that crying about it won’t help anyone get better, you have to do what you love, or nothing at all.” He continues working on the cake, humming a tune to himself.

 She sighs as she wipes away a tear "you're so poetic.... my little bard~"

Jax is sitting by the water, looking longingly at the waves.

 They see a flaming broom above the ocean, a man standing on it with his hands on his pockets, looking tired.

 He looks up and calls out "Hey, you good?"

 The guy turns, his broom moving with him as he begins flying over.

 Jax sighs, knowing a conversation will ensue

 The broom crashes into the sand, splintering to pieces as the man dusts himself off “What did you say?”

" I asked if you were good.. like, okay, you know?"

 “Well if that’s what you said then absolutely not.” He says, like he just asked what the weather was, casually depressed.

 "Honestly, same..." He says while sighing, resting his chin in his paws as he looks back to the water, ears pinned.

 He sits on the ground, the broom setting on fire as the man’s eyes glow, putting itself back together “It’s good to get some peace while you can.”

 "if you wanna call it that... I haven't seen her for days... I haven't slept..."

 “Sleep is something that hides from all of us. Go look for her.” *Gtg soon.*

 "I can't. she forbade me from entering the water at night without her" *same*

 “So you can’t sleep because you can’t see her, but she told you not to go without her. That sounds controlling.”

 "She's trying to protect me... the water at night is dangerous, I've seen it first hand.."
