Omori is on the roof of the Inn once more, practicing her attempts to cast Mage Hand. Amber sits close by, watching the little aspiring mage.
Isaac heads up "saw you were up here. how is your practice going?"
"Hey, Isaac! It's going alright." She attempts the spell again- for about half a second, a barely-visible hand of magical energy appears- and contorts into a bunch of translucent tendrils before winking out of existence again. Omori and Amber both seem confused.
"I can try to help if you want"
"Sure!" She happily chirps. Her raven familiar croaks, flying from their previous perch to her shoulder.
Isaac's bird chirps at the raven
"I've been at this for a while- I can conjure the hand decently enough, but whenever I try to move it... well, you saw what happened." She explains.

"Thank you, Father. Anything to give back to the community that has given me so much. With hope, faith, and a little luck, I'll be able to reach people across the map with things like these, although due to the nature of power dynamics I'll likely have to change their function significantly at that point." He thinks for a bit. "I hope these things don't last too long, actually. Ten years at most. You know what they say about giving fish to men? It's the same principle. Children need food, but these might make them a little too dependent on something that could easily be taken away by someone stronger. I think I'll address that in my next prototype if it becomes a problem. Practical edutainment toys... what a novel concept."
Luciano nods "Children need things to help them grow so they can climb their way out of poverty instead of being okay with staying in the dirt." He sighs "I wish they weren't so... okay with staying the way they are. Hungry, tired, cold."
"Society tells them that they are at the peak of their value. I've been trying to... re-establish control over the flow of information lately, and weeding out hatred has turned out to be the hardest part. Anger, fear, disgust. The brain prioritizes negativity, and the systems that are in place capitalize on that. For some people, it's as easy as counting cards. Keeping a balance of hope and despair so that they look like the only way out of the bad times. Politics always has a way of entering our daily lives, doesn't it? And how rare it is that it makes a positive difference... or perhaps it's simply the brain prioritizing negativity again. Surely, things can't be that bad, can they? Sins are embellished while heroics are barely mentioned. Thus is the way of things, I guess. Ah, I'm doom-rambling. Things could be better is all I'm saying."
Max is walking in the woods with a basket of dead critters when he sees some of the mannequins. He stops for about a minute before approaching them cautiously.
*Greetings, Baal! I'm doing decently well. How are you?*
The two he approaches- one with a more humanoid appearance, albeit with unnervingly long arms and a lower half made of branching arms and hands reminiscent of coral, and the other a more traditionally humanoid mannequin aside from all of its limbs being made of forearms and hands- both silently look back at him. They don't seem hostile- not right now, at least.
*Tired and it feels like my torso is filled with burning phlegm, but otherwise great!*
He makes a wide circle around them, trying to examine their construction. After a bit, he sees the warehouse, but doesn't immediately approach it. He points, though. "Did you come from there?"
*That's good- besides the burning phlegm, I mean. I hope it feels better soon.*
They nod in unison. They seem to be made of a mixture of fiberglass and cloth mannequin parts, with visible stitching in some places and speckles of multiple colors of paint that don't seem intentional. In the little gaps between segments where a natural and sanely-designed creature's joints would be, Max can see a faint glistening of what looks like... is that... blood?

*Lately I've been wondering if I suffer from heartburn. Given my eating habits and frequent pains, it's not out of the question.*
He rubs his chin and moves a bit closer to the two constructs. "Would it be alright with you if I checked out the warehouse? If you two are security, I wouldn't want to cause you any trouble."

There is no complication that stops him, though the constructs watch him as he moves towards the warehouse until they vanish from his sight. The sound of a tinny radio playing music can be heard coming from inside the structure, and when he knocks on the door- after the sounds of many, many locks being un-locked- KK opens the door.
