"Cannibalism is a tactic of a lesser being. A failure to adapt given cruelest form. While I wouldn't say it's beneath the denizens of Mistshore, killing and consuming an infant humanoid is against nature. Only true aberrations would dare violate such a taboo." He doesn't seem to care about how Ryidan feels about it. "The Xanathar Guild would welcome such an act, so I did get lucky."
"Hm." He hums in thought "You seem to have specific beliefs towards the meals you eat. But desperate times call for desperate measures in some cases, a mother rabbit will eat her baby if stressed enough." He stares at the back of his hand.
"True, but we are not rabbits. We are not rodents. Humanoids operate by different laws. At least, that is how it usually is. How it should be." He reaches into his jacket and removes a small bar-shaped object wrapped in paper. "When you are finished, or if you get dirty, you may use this soap to wash up. I made it myself."

"I only plan on killing those who stand in my way, nothing more or less." He says, his neutral face betraying no emotion.
"For your sake, lets hope that those who defy you are innocent, lest you find yourself on my table."
"You can, I would welcome it. If you plan to harm me, then you should at least cut me a little to prove you aren't just all word." He smiled slightly.
"Funny enough, my ritual begins with a cut on the cheek, then collection of the blood. May I take it now?"
"If you can get me to bleed, I would be surprised." He said and took one of his fingers, bending it backwards and snapping it. He doesn't flinch, nor express any pain "I'm afraid my blood turned to dust years ago."
"Unfortunate, well, this shall be symbolic then." he withdraws a pitch black knife from himself. "are you ready?"
"Hold on a moment." He waves a hand and suddenly his tattoo's begin to writhe and move "Go ahead."

"Apologies, I got carried away." The wings are spicy, slightly sweet, and have a faint but pleasant coppery flavor to them. The beer isn't as bitter as normal, and is much lighter than most beers when it comes to how it weighs on the stomach. "I'm glad you're open to new meals. When we are desperate, we cannot be picky. It's best to be good and frugal at the same time, in my opinion. My name is Jacob, the Desperation Chef."
"My name's Ace, the Fire Fist." he says with a slight respectful bow after finishing his food.
"Why would you choose to set your fists on fire? Surely there are less brutal ways to cause harm." He sounds concerned.

Suddenly, as he slides the blade across Ryidan's skin, tendrils of black burst forth and latch on to their arm (Make a CON save)

The man looks a bit disheartened. "I try to foster cleanliness, both moral and physical, wherever I go. I fail every day, but a cruel world does not justify cruelty. Kindness does not justify kindness, so why should evil justify evil?" He sighs and sits down. "A friend wrote a song for me when I was in a bad place. I don't remember much of it, but I remember the most important part."
"I'd sacrifice myself, take a bullet to the head, Tango all the way to hell with the reaper in my bed If it meant I'd save my family, if it meant I'd save my friends. I'm not waiting for the end, I refuse to be lost, lost, lost..."

"I control fire, and am sort of made of it." he laughs at their concern. he shows them his arm, which turns into flames.
He shakes his head. "I'm not worried about you. You are strong. Have you ever been burned before, Ace?" The gentleness is lessened, but still there. "It destroys your nerve endings. If you can regenerate those, like I can, it is the most brutal torture imaginable. The reason they don't use it much anymore is because it is so lethal. A trained victim will die before they can stop screaming."

"I've gotten used to it as a chef, but the cruelty, or worse, ignorance it requires to employ a flame as a weapon..." He looks at the floor. "Third degree burns kill the tissue entirely. Burn bright enough, and they will never, ever, ever recover. Painless, since it destroys the nerves entirely, but debilitating. If you must burn hot, please, leave no one alive. To kill the body is a minor sin compared to killing the soul."
