He casts blindness/deafness on himself so he can no long hear you.

Wink hands Sunny a glass of Orange Juice. He hears something in the engine room, & runs back to see what it is.

The spell wears off after a minute and Dexen is free. 'Hey, I think that wizard needs medical attention. In the meantime, can I have some orange juice?'
